after absolutely eviscerating Kristi Noem and calling for her resignation, Tillis is applauded. He thens threatens to hold up nominees if she doesn't stop stonewalling him. My God.

The Ash Wednesday procession through the Chicago suburb of Melrose Park from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church - honoring immigrants, immigration detainees and those killed by ICE & Border Patrol - has begun.

Sort of gives away the lie that they're arresting hardened criminals who are drags on society when they're setting up traps to lure in Good Samaritans

Virginia Coalition for Immigrant Rights Applauds Governor Spanberger for Ending Agreements Between ICE and Virginia Law Enforcement Richmond, VA—In a move celebrated by immigrant communities and advocacy groups across the Commonwealth, Governor Abigail Spanberger has ended agreements between ICE and the four Virginia state law enforcement agencies, the Virginia State Police, Virginia Department of Corrections, Virginia Conservation Police, and Virginia Marine Police. This means that state law enforcement will no longer be forcibly deputized into conducting immigration enforcement for the federal government, and can again prioritize public safety and community trust. “Governor Spanberger’s decision to end cooperation agreements is a powerful step toward restoring basic constitutional protections and rebuilding trust between immigrant communities and law enforcement across Virginia,” said Monica Sarmiento, Executive Director of the Virginia Coalition for Immigrant Rights (VACIR). “These agreements have deputized state agencies into carrying out a federal detention and deportation agenda that relies on fear, racial profiling, and warrantless enforcement, undermining public safety for everyone. By ending statewide cooperation with ICE, the Governor is affirming that our state resources should be used to keep communities safe, not to tear families apart and funnel people into a system that has repeatedly violated civil and human rights. Immigrants are essential to Virginia’s economy and civic life, and today’s action sends a clear message that our communities deserve dignity, safety, and equal protection under the law.”

Wow! This read-along of the NYT moment-by-moment leading to the murder of Alex Pretti should shake everyone awake. He was a Good Samaritan.
Agents fired at least ten shots in roughly five seconds. DHS and Pam Bondi claim Pretti approached them armed and intent on a “massacre.”
Alex Pretti was an American hero. He saved lives. He protected people. He cared deeply about his community, unlike the murderous thugs who killed him.
The very last thing he did was try to help a woman who had been pepper-sprayed and violently shoved to the ground by ICE. 1/
It was an extrajudicial execution. Anyone who defends this is defending a police state.
Gov. Tim Walz posted to social media that he spoke to the White House after the shooting, and that “Minnesota has had it. This is sickening. The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.” www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
This is how it’s done! @abigailspanberger.com’s first act as Governor of Virginia is to repeal Glenn Youngkin’s executive order that mandated state and local law enforcement cooperate with ICE.
More of this please! #LetFreedomRing
How much more in your face can it be?

"This is about whether the Fed will be able to continue to set interest rates based on evidence and economic conditions—or whether instead monetary policy will be directed by political pressure or intimidation...Public service sometimes requires standing firm in the face of threats."
This is f*cked up!
There isn’t any law in this country that requires you to provide proof of citizenship on the interior, but unfortunately ICE is racially profiling.
And they don’t care if you say you’re a US citizen.
So where does this leave everyone? If you don’t look white, you’re in danger.
If he needs a tooled-up paramilitary force to stand outside the loo for him, just who is he scared of?
