Good, quality dunk! Loved the shoutout to Škoda; unfortunately, they refuse to follow their original sensible ways and continue to pump out either oversized EVs, or reasonably-sized ICE ones.
Thx for taking the time to explain! The guys I watch usually say it’s better to set it to weather compensation and let it maintain temp, even if you’re away all day. Especially if your property is well-insulated and won’t lose so much heat.
I just follow several professional heat pump engineers on various sites, and they all say “for maximum efficiency, set it to X degrees and let it cook, don't on/off it”.
I was wondering if you got a different advice from your installer or has some other reasons, always interested in that stuff.
Schedule as in program it to increase the temperature by the time you get back home?
Loved the episode, loved the format! Would you mind including a quick ELI5 post mortem on Ripple in the next one? Specifically, whether it was a market design failure or a business model one.
Just a random thought.
Doesn’t get talked about enough.
He’s the funniest of them all!
Quoting a source without providing useful context that the said source is talking out of their arse and have no clue is not good journalism.
Covering energy without a single quote from a qualified engineer and/or project manager is also less than stellar.

An inter-cushion gap, if you want to speak his language!
Chased away by a McKinsey slide deck, probably!
Oh yeah, that's what I heard as well. Relatives were quoted over €3K to install a home wallbox simply because of the need to upgrade their line rating.
But then again, Italy disagrees with that expectation 😁😁😁
From what I heard, it can sometimes be bureaucratically harder to install a slow AC one in a village/town/city than an ultrafast one on a highway.
Eh, I had fast-charged at €0.65..0.77 down the A10, so YMMV.
That's over €1 per kWh, highway robbery 😡
Yes, but it's Italy, and I’ve seen 7kW at €0.85, so 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Yes, please!
The rise of Reform does count as an external threat tho 😁😁😁
Such a shame that, unlike Reddit, this place doesn’t award gold.
@nmn.sh A feature request for Retina Displays, if I may: a filter showing whether particular displays do/don’t have KVM. Quite useful for some, I would imagine.
“In London cyclists now outnumber cars in the City by 2 to 1. Paris, where they now outnumber motorists across the whole city, is catching up with Europe’s traditional bike capitals, Amsterdam & Copenhagen…In Copenhagen, bikes account for almost half of commuter trips to work/school.” @economist.com
Is this russian civil society! in the room with us right now, Yanis?
At the very least you normalize it for other people who might not be so careful.
Yet some people would still try!
Makes the bailouts even more of a failure. What was the point of saving... that?
Ah, the famous Childcrusher 3000, now electric! 🤣
You can totally blame them for building hundreds of large hovercraft and conducting exercises that are very overtly invasionist in nature 🤷♂️
@volts.wtf Remind me of your theory of appealing to an invisible ump in the sky.
