This is the ratio chart. I also learned that it’s best to get a baseline recipe and use it kinda like the control in a experiment lol @taurean.bryant.land

Roast level is the same as espresso, lighter/higher temp. So playing with it really change the coffee. I haven’t had a crazy light roast yet, but this valor choco malt is pretty medium light
And it’s great at 192* but awful at 194* i had a darker medium that was great at 190* and awful at 192* lol

once that click I adjust the grind size based off if the coffee drawing decently. If I still get a slow drawdown after adjusting the ratio, I go coarser. Pour over is flipped from espresso so where ppl say “go finer” you go courser. The flow need to be steady and timely but still taste good

I had to kinda understand it myself and this how I got there. Taste is prolly #1. It’s Essentially the same as espresso, but instead of time you go by ratio. too bitter or watery, go with a smaller ratio, too sour bigger ratio. I literally saved a ratio chart to my notes lol

A switch! I want one of these too. The z1 looks interesting too but imma chill for now. I have a v60 so I wanted to go flat bottom. Plus it’s super small so it should travel really well. I’ll run it for a few months and maybe then I’ll think of a 3rd option.
