Pippa Crerar had two choices as I see it

1. Let the Gov know there had been an Official Secrets Act breach

2. Write an unverified story to bring down a PM.

I’m glad the Gov are investigating the leak.

A lot of people spent days going "OMG OMG OMG popcorn at the ready SiR kEiTh obvs lying; Olly Robbins has the receipts". Now they're like "too clever to get caught, they did it with VIBEZ."

From "Starmer is really bad at politics" straight to "Starmer is Machiavelli reincarnated" - like every week.

Unfortunately, I think they’re going to be punished during upcoming elections (hope not, but think so) and the media will be even worse, with those in the party who already have it in for Starmer (or just personal ambition) using it as an excuse to try to make him step down. Frustrating

So personal gain > balance, fairness and journalistic integrity

Which would also apply to many of her colleagues.

They’re more concerned with trying to influence the public, with the incessant negativity about Labour (and false equivalences with recent Tory governments) while barely reporting any of the good things. And then disingenuously pointing to the polls… as if they weren’t a huge factor behind it all.

She’s had it in for him since it became clear that Labour was going to win the GE. Don’t know if she actually dislikes him or if she’s just following orders.

Screenshot of a tweet by Rep. Ro Khanna (@RoKhanna) praising a breakthrough in pancreatic cancer research, calling it "the best of America" and noting that lead researcher Dr. Balachandran is the son of Indian immigrants and works at Sloan Kettering. He quote-tweets Ian Weissman, DO (@DrIanWeiss...), who reports that an mRNA pancreatic cancer vaccine showed lasting results in an early trial, with nearly all responding patients still alive six years later.

Science leads to amazing breakthroughs. Immigrants lead to amazing science.

Beautiful evening walk in Bideford, Devon. Bideford’s bridge is one of the oldest medieval bridges in England, 677 feet long and originally built in the 13th century.

Pointing out media bias against Labour does not mean blind loyalty to Starmer. With their foaming-at-the-mouth attempt to hold Labour to much higher standards & addiction to 24/7 drama, they’re grasping at straws. The people whipping up outrage are the same people asking why it’s such a big thing.

Morning @mrjamesob.bsky.social Re: Starmer/Mandelson & hearing the ‘nothing burger’ term. Those of us who feel the same, while not blind to Starmer’s faults, find this whole sorry saga so frustrating. I’m more disappointed in their immigration stance than anything else. 1/2

Agreed, they’re not the most appetising when you open the tin. But they’re very good mashed in a bowl with squeeze of fresh lemon juice, chopped gherkins, thinly sliced red onion & fresh dill, then spread over toasted rye or sourdough spread with a thin layer of mayo. A delicious light meal.

Louisiana, you have a better choice for US House, Dist 4 than career politician Mike Johnson, who answers to his party bosses.

Conrad Cable, farmer & small business owner, will work for families — to lower costs, raise wages, & expand healthcare.

Just sobbed hardest I have since my mom died in 2020.

She missed these trials by a few months.

One of most ruthless cancers. Hard to fathom that maybe she'd still be here.

I feel such a hole inside.

In case you're wondering if we should fund mRNA research instead of another stupid war ... yes.
