Shout out to these Amazon knockoff Avengers sticker sets that include money for Iron Man’s accessories and a watch and a pair of hand grenades (?!) for The Hulk.

Toddler got viscerally upset when we asked her what Pokemon she would be, insisting that she is not a Pokemon and she only wants to be Spider-Man.

Our DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee (RBC) meeting is about to begin so we can discuss the delegate selection rules for 2028! I’m setting the over/under at 5.5 hours - do y’all think we get out while the sun is still up?

My two year old seems to have gotten unstuck from time or at the least developed some kind of prescience, because she now claims things like “when I was older, I got tattoos.”

I’ve only been able to sustain this expensive work because of all y’all’s help. Not everyone knows this, but all DNC travel and lodging is entirely out of pocket beyond what we can personally raise, which is why it is once again the time of year for me to share one of these. 4/

the early state calendar to the host city for the National Convention, and yes, already, Delegate Selection Plans.

This will continue to ramp up, and I’m expected to go to DC for at least 8 more days worth of Rules and Bylaws Committee (RBC) meetings in May, June, and July. 3/

This meeting will be balancing focus on both the 2026 November Midterm Elections, making sure that we are doing everything we can to be in the best position possible to retake the House and Senate, and the 2028 Presidential Primary, working on everything from… 2/

This time next week, I will be headed to New Orleans for the DNC’s 2026 Spring Meeting. Thankfully, I booked well before the current spike in fuel prices, but that still doesn’t make flight and hotel cheap. 1/5

This is a very strange post-primary feeling for me. This is the first competitive statewide (or larger) primary of my life that I have been on the winning side of. Looking forward to a very good November!

If you or someone you know is a Dallas or Williamson County voter planning on voting today, please direct them to these resources!

Some voters in Dallas and Williamson Counties are being forced to vote at a different polling place this election.

Please confirm your polling locations in these counties by visiting:

My personal top 2!

Per the Texas Democratic Party, nearly a third of Williamson and Dallas County voters are being turned away when they try to vote due to confusion over polling locations, caused by Republicans opting not to hold countywide unified Joint Primaries.

I would say it was not as complete as the finalists above.

I’m going to put this nicely but hopefully you can read through the lines here - San Antonio did not put together a particularly robust bid and got eliminated from contention.

If you care about where the convention is hosted, maybe you care about what 4 or 5 states go early in the 2028 Primary! If that’s the case, I’ve got you covered with my report from the January DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee meeting! bsky.app/profile/andr...

Philly just hosted the DNCC in 2016, and then the DNC went back in 2023. So, to be honest, I have them near the bottom of my list due to recency.

I had a good time visiting Minneapolis for the DNC last August, and as a Texan deeply empathize with what is going on. But here’s some context about why they aren’t on the shortlist: bsky.app/profile/andr...

I’ve been a longtime unironic Vegas supporter, but it hasn’t made it particularly deep in the bidding process for some time.

Yep, absolutely. The “convention bump” is way overblown, if it even exists at all.

One of the reasons I am favoring Denver is due to it being the furthest west, which is beneficial for keeping the show running on time for prime time TV.

They ran into some Red State Problems last time they bid, plus had the lowest and most spread out hotel stock. We will see if things are different for this bid!

I have Boston as a very favorable choice, without having had the chance to do a real deep dive into the bids just yet.

Chair Martin made it clear when running (as did basically every other Chair candidate) that he wasn’t running to put his state in the front of the line for either the Convention or Primary. So I suspect they did not even bid.

I, personally, am leaning Denver, due to it being the farthest west city, and am leaning against Chicago and Philly due to recency, but I’ll solidify those feelings after we get better deep dives into the bids.
