Overall, while the film leans more into the “play games = more film enjoyment” field than the first film did, I can see Mario fans getting a massive kick out of this! Was defo worth me replaying 50 hours of Galaxy 1 & 2 so I could relive a moment or two I loved 👍🏻

My only two major gripes I had with the film were:
1) The baby-dinosaur scene felt somewhat unneeded in the grand scheme of things
2) The lower-than-expected amount of screentime for Rosalina, but I SUPPOSE it may some sense within the film's story

The pacing felt more consistent compared to the first film, and even though I've seen divisive thoughts on THIS film's pacing, it worked well enough for me. And the way Gateway Galaxy was recontextualised as an airport helped give the film its own identity 💫

That was definitely a #SuperMarioGalaxyMovie 😊💫✨

For the most part it was a worthy tribute to my two all-time favourite video games, with great music & neat cameos to boot! Story ain't that deep but honestly not every film needs a deep story to be an enjoyable time 💙
