We were founded as Iraq Veterans Against the War over the devastation we saw with our own eyes when Bush claimed we were going to liberate the people of Iraq and protect Americans. That war is now referred to as a blunder but it was a crime just like this War on Iran is now. /1

Trump Administration has no real plan for this war just to make money off oil interest not to help the people of Iran. They didn't even have a plan to evacuate Americans working or living overseas in the Middleast before the war started.

Tomorrow marks the 61st anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama. It also marks the 60th anniversary of the Supreme Court first upholding the Voting Rights Act.
We have gotten so, so far away from a Court that cares about democracy.

That's why we are in the state we are now in this country. Democrats playing nice while in the mealtime this current administration in Washington is steam rolling over them and the people of the United States.
For whatever we think about political parties as ideological constructions they are also campaign finance infrastructure. Organizations that get special privileges from the state to raise and spend money for the purposes of influencing elections should be held to a higher standard.
In this video Miguel holds up a mailer that alleges he stands with ICE while talking about the community defense work he has done.
He says the phrase "they tried to take my wife who was dressed as a Care Bear" while showing video of a violent ICE incident that happened on Halloween.

Yes I learned about John and Mary Johnson and their amazing story. It was great to hear about the contributions they put forth to the Black community in Chicago pre Civil War Era and afterwards. Often times many Chicagoans don't know that there was a Black community in Chicago before the Civil War.

Not surprised records show this. This was literally an attack on Black people in the SouthShore. community and immigrants combined. I was so disgusted that children were being zipped tied.
