Digital-only movement is probably for the best in this specific game. My guess is that they're going for something similar to Super Mario 3D World with the fixed camera. But SM3DW had a slight twist: full-ish analog movement on open fields, and 8-direction movement on segments with tight platforms.

Spent the last month or so working on this new (and very important!) area for ABYSS X ZERO!

Haven't worked on an area like this since the Downtown from UNSIGHTED, so it's been very nostalgic to create these urban/city assets.
