A very happy birthday to Samwise Gamgee!
To many, Sam is the real hero of #Tolkien's #LOTR. Sam accompanied Frodo all the way to Mount Doom and defeated Shelob in combat. After the War, he ultimately sailed West to rejoin Frodo in the Undying Lands.

Seeing this discussed a lot more with the release of WoTR
So I’ll say it again for those in the back
You can be a Tolkien super fan and enjoy RoP
and the PJ trilogy
and WoTR
AND the Books.
There is no threshold on what you can and can’t like in order to be considered a fan.

It’s very easy to fall down that rabbit hole and spend too much time and sometimes money because you feel invested.
It was mostly a problem during the raids 😂🥹. Oh well good times. I don’t think I will ever go back to gaming though. Takes too much time and now LOTRO is very much a pay to win concept which I don’t like.
Oh I never tried LOTRO on a Mac computer so I don’t know how well it works. Either way it’s a very buggy and laggy game 😂 as much as I love it
The lord of The rings - Eowyn
Oh yes the Remmorchant raid is still the best one. And yes the Rift still exist and some people still do it on level. It’s a good old school raid with proper amount of bosses. Yeah I know what you mean I have to restrain myself sometimes from reinstalling.
lol I suppose I have. My absolute favorite will always be Minas Morgul expansion. Had the best times and most fun raid. But I agree with you, just the overall feeling is what I miss and just being able to explore middle earth in some way.
Oh I love this 🥹
I’m also old don’t worry 😂 I was just late to the game. Think I played for 5 years or so but I spent an insane amount of time on it when I was having a bad time in life. I miss the people most of all I think.
Wow 15 years and you still miss it? For me I think it’s been a year, maybe more when I finally decided to delete everything.
Sometimes I miss LOTRO so much. The festivals (Yule!!!), the landscape and some people that I spent so much time with grinding silly and slightly laggy content 🥹
RE the Twitter exodus. So we're basically the elves escaping to Valinor after Melkor f*cked up Middle-Earth.
