Listen back as I spoke to Matt Cooper on Today FM about the Government's new Drone Policy Framework yesterday.

The new drone policy leaves communities exposed.

No rules on noise. No protection for homes. No say for residents.

We need safeguards before rollouts – not years later.

Noise complaints are the number one issue residents raise with @rodericogorman.bsky.social about drones in Dublin 15.

At today’s meeting of the Oireachtas Transport Committee, Roderic pressed Manna CEO Bobby Healy on when quieter propellers will finally be rolled out.

Here's what he said👇

I have today made a comprehensive observation to planners on the drone delivery hub proposed for Dundrum village.

This drone port plan is a textbook case of big business first, people-later.

Read my full planning observation on my website.

💶 A couple of euro saved… a €10m hole in the budget 😞

DLR councillors just voted to slash Local Property Tax by 15% — a token cut that’ll save the average homeowner €1–2 a week.
Meanwhile, footpaths, bins, and community spaces take the hit.

Government’s delayed Climate Action Plan shows signs of complacency, at worst possible time | Green Party Government’s delayed Climate Action Plan shows signs of complacency, at worst possible time

The Government delayed the 2025 Climate Action Plan for months.

Now it’s finally here – but it lacks the urgency to build on record emissions cuts achieved in the last Government.

FF/FG are taking their foot off the pedal at the worst possible time.

Thanks Paul. I have written to the EPA and the Minister on the issue of enforcement.

I'm hoping there will be more to come on this and I'm working with colleagues to make sure this isn't the end of it and action is taken.

Widespread breaches of smoky coal regulations uncovered in Dublin ‘Results raise serious concerns about effectiveness of regulations and integrity of solid fuel supply chain’

New findings revealed in a report I requested from DLR show a Dublin-wide investigation indicates that most coal being sold by retailers does not meet legal sulphur limits, posing a major threat to air quality and public health.

Standing in front of several bags of dumped rubbish

Standing in front of several bags of dumped rubbish

Taking the bus to @rte.ie to discuss why litter and dumping are such issues in the inner city, the role of CCTV and what else I want to see done about it.
Thanks to the Blessington St bus stop for illustrating the problem nicely for me!

Renewables are Europe‘s future, covering almost 1/2 of energy consumption (2024).

"The amount of progress made in five years of the European Green Deal should inspire confidence in what can be achieved by 2030."

We can do it. We must stay on track.

I said during the election that a Government relying on independents would be unstable.
I didn’t think it would be unable to even elect a Taoiseach!
