Oh yay, they announced it!!
This is a new Murderbot short story, coming out later this week on Reactor Magazine. It’s about ART and its crew, set before Network Effect, and how ART finally decided to tell them about meeting a rogue SecUnit.
I did a post listing everything I've got coming out for the rest of the year, as far as I know. Short stories, Murderbot news, preorder links for Queen Demon, the sequel to Witch King, etc. marthawells.dreamwidth.org/666162.html #booksky
I’d rather have nice safe emotions about shows on the entertainment media; having them about things real-life humans said and did just led to stupid decisions.
Incredibly excited about this change!! I love how inclusive TMBD is and that gender and sexuality aren't a plot point (besides murderbot disliking genders and relationships). It is so refreshing to reach stories where queer people just exist like everyone else.
Lol thanks 😂😂
I know it sucks 😭😭
television is BACK
I feel like all of the casting bar secunit is soo good but like yeah I'm relenting to that one cos it could definitely be worse...
ALERT ALERT ALERT

I'm way more optimistic than I was from the stills alone 😭
It's crazy!!!
I do wonder if I need some sort of Scoville scale for my books but for spiders rather than spiciness. Have today been advising an arachnophobe on spider incidence in Alien Clay and Service Model.
have you?
"The show-within-a-show stars John Cho, Jack McBrayer, Clark Gregg, and DeWanda Wise, sporting outrageous hairstyles and costumes that make the stylings of A Flock of Seagulls look like business casual." oh my God they're doing Sanctuary Moon, say thank you Apple TV+
This was my chair on the set.
This is me with Christ Weitz, who with his brother Paul Weitz, are the executive producers, directors, and writers of Murderbot. Their production company Depth of Field optioned All Systems Red in 2021 and they've been working hard to bring it to TV ever since.
This is me with the ball and chart, taken through the monitor while I'm standing in front of the big camera in the hopper set. This has to be done periodically for the special effects team.
If you need a distraction, I'm going to be posting a few non-spoilery set photos over the weeks as a lead-up to the Murderbot premiere on May 16. (It's fun for me! I hope it's fun for you.) @troyce.bsky.social took these photos. #murderbot
Oh, Murderbot, what did you do?
star wars let me paint thrawn
"A couple questions came in about Dastmalchian’s upcoming show, Murderbot. The Apple TV series is based upon Martha Wells’ book, The Murderbot Diaries. He described Wells as a genius and the show as nothing he’s ever seen before."

I liked protecting people and things. I liked figuring out smart ways to protect people and things. I liked being right.
I keep seeing people say that Murderbot refers to itself as "she/her" in the books (you know, the ones I wrote). Could someone comment with a quote (from the books I wrote) or point me (the writer) to where that is? Maybe I can clear up the confusion. In the books. Which I wrote.
