That struggle of posting art online.
When it comes to boycotting, just a thought. It’s okay if you can’t quit a company cold turkey. In Master Gardeners, when we encourage people to switch to native plants, the goal is 70% native, not 100%. If you were shopping at a store 80% of the time and cut it back to 60%, that 20% still hurts.

Someone's gotta do it I guess

HEADLINE: CDC posts, then deletes, data on bird flu spread between cats and people. The data which appeared fleetingly online on Wednesday, confirmed transmission in two households.
It is evident the CDC is being muzzled SO let’s talk about what YOU can do to PROTECT yourself AND your pets. 🧪🧵 ⬇️
have been thinking a lot about how convenience robs us of community in the last few years — if we are to get through whatever may come, we must learn to prioritize & utilize community

A warm toned digital illustration on a dark background. A pale, mammalian creature with closed eyes bares its carnivorous maw, held wide open. A star with a happy smile sits between its teeth, more featureless stars floating above it. A large flower stalk sits over the creature’s head, and small, simplistic mammals leap over it. The bottom left features a small antlered deer with a star above its back. Below the large, main creature reads “WE HAVE ALWAYS SURVIVED AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO” in a horizontal text. To the right of it in a vertical text reads “OUT OF DEFIANCE AND OUT OF LOVE”. Together both texts frame the lower right side of the artwork.
figured it would be nice to wrap up this sketch this weekend! :-) 🌟💛
Creativity is like a houseplant, not an endless well. You need to seek out sunlight, water, and nutrients in art, shows, music, experiences, and more to tend to it. And just like plants it has its dormant and active periods and you may not seem improvement for some time.
You won't be any better at fighting what's coming if you burn yourself out and spend all your time feeling bleak and hopeless, and the people telling you that it's all despair now probably don't have anyone's best interest at heart.
Sometimes you pour pancake batter onto the skillet and realize immediately “wellp, that’s gonna be an ugly one.”
I think art and writing goes the same way.
you can try to fix it while it fries, learn and pour a better one next time, or find the person who wants to eat it in all its ugliness
