Opportunities to take teaching positions can be difficult to negotiate. There are many pros and cons to weigh up before taking a job, even before the question of pay.
What do you look for in teaching positions? What is your "checklist" before accepting a position?

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll look into it.
Are you talking about Aigner and Ziegler's book? I'll look into it!
Thanks so much.
Thank you for this recommendation! I've always thought that zero is a fascinating part of mathematics history. I will add it to the list.
I haven't heard of this book before! Thank you so much for the recommendation. I'll look into it.
Fantastic! I have Maor's Music by the Numbers and it's wonderful. I'll definitely look into this.
I need some books to populate my shelf.
Does anyone have any good mathematics book recommendations? โพ๏ธ ๐งฎ
Preferably books that explore specific areas of mathematics like Robyn Arianrhod's Vector: A Surprising Story of Space, Time, and Mathematical Transformation.
All assessments finished for this semester.
Once I have my academic transcript (assuming I passed everything), I'm on my way to becoming a conditionally accredited maths teacher!
There's also the matter of my honours project... โพ๏ธ
First exam complete (Real and complex analysis).
Loved the course, so I hope everything I learned doesn't immediately escape me.
Exam was challenging but fair.
Two exams tomorrow. Real and Complex Analysis. Geometry and Topology.
These will be my final assessments before I can become a conditionally accredited mathematics teacher in NSW.
Couldn't be more excited. โพ๏ธ
