The ruins of an old temple in Ayutthaya. A large central building stands in the middle with dark and red bricks, its shape tapering upwards towards what was likely a prang, but there is nothing left after the second staircase. Around the central building are other remnants, partial pillars, some smaller prangs that are largely intact.

A small courtyard in Ayutthaya. The courtyard, likely a former building, is surrounded by a small brick wall with large bases in certain points, likely former supports that are now flat. The center contains some small pillars no more than a meter all, in regular rows. Large trees surround the courtyard on either side. Towards the back a large tower can be seen, still mostly intact with its mostly-red-brick structure. Though the top stops abruptly.

A narrow alley street in Bangkok. The street is wide enough for a single small car, if even that. Several scooters and bikes are parked along either side of the street. The street itself meanders from right to left to make room for storefronts that jut out of their buildings. The buildings themselves rise up a few stories on either side, in various muted colors, with many satellite dishes attached to the walls.

The back alley streets of Bangkok have a totally different vibe than the main areas, and I kinda dig it

The golden spire on the top of Wat Saket. A large, wide golden spire reaches up to the partly-cloudy sky, tapering to a sharp point, in varying degrees at various points. The spire is sitting on a small raised platform, with tables on all sides with golden tablecloth. Additional relics and floral arrangements also surround end spire on the platform.

One of the many gardens surrounding Wat Saket. The garden consists of many different green bushes and trees of many different sizes that rise up the side of the hill. Throughout the garden are many white stones, some of which form the boundary of small ponds or shrines throughout the garden. A large golden pole with a bulb on the top, outlined with an aura, stands in front of the garden.

The Wat Arun temple, as seen from the very bottom of the main Prang, looking straight up along the wall. Its largely grey uniform color at a glance is betrayed by its many many intricate & colorful carvings and flourishes and sculptures that adorn every single surface of the large tower, as it reaches up to the clear blue sky.

Taiwan is not SE Asia as I was informed by a few people xD

Taiwan is definitely cheaper xD
But Thailand only a teeny bit more expensive than that, which is to say not expensive at all xD

I will say I still do miss the incredible street food culture in Taiwan

It's so heckin good and it puts a lot of others to shame xD

The food court of ICONSIAM mall. A small replica of the Chao Phraya river runs down the middle, while many many food stalls and restaurants adorn both sides of the "river". All the shops are decorated to look like old-fashioned wooden street vendor stalls, with many glowing lanterns and signs. A small upper walkway runs along the stores on sides, with additional shops.

The right side is completely full of chairs and tables for dining, occasionally broken up by additional food stalls. The high ceiling above the tables is filled with traditional lanterns of many different colors, with warm colors being the majority.

SE Asia really goes all out on their malls don't they

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok from the outside looking up at the magnificent structure. The temple's four wings radiate out from the center, each wing shrinking slightly in size as it tapers down to the entrance, with each wing's many roofs lower than the last in response. The roofs are all held up by many pillars on either side, while the roofs themselves are adorned with many flourished at their various points. Every aspect of the building is incredibly intricate and colorful.

The Grand Palace in Bangkok. A wide, almost colonial-looking building is seen from below, with fairly traditional windows and stairs along the front. The center of the building however, as well as the two ends, sport traditional Thai roofs with bright gold accents, and intricate towers on each that reach up to the sky, ending in a point.

One of the many covered alleyways of the Chatuchak market. Many many shops run the length of the alleyway into the distance, with the alley itself being only wife enough for three people at most. All the shops' inventory spill out slightly into the alley, consisting of all manner of merchandise.

The Putra Mosque in Putrajaya. The muted-rose-colored mosque sits against a brilliant cloudy sky with patches of blue. The mosque's large tower rises up to its left, while the mosque itself rises up to the right, with its various domes surrounding the large primary dome in the middle.

The interior of the Putra Mosque. The inner dome's interior towers over the large, mostly empty prayer area, with various stained glass windows around its edges of its muted-rosey walls. The upper floors/balconies are supported with rows of columns. Tourists are all gathered at the edge of the roped-off area, many wearing red visitor robes to remain appropriately covered.

A large shopping mall, shot over the walkway one floor above the ground level. Half a dozen additional floors tower above, with arbitrary walkways connecting them across the atrium at different points on each floor. Many shops and restaurants can be seen on each floor.

I swear half this city is just malls, and they're all so big xD
