Corruption in England's water industry and its regulation
2,778 serious pollution incidents reported in 2024.
Officials downgraded 2,735 (98%) to minor incidents.
Only 496 attended before downgrading; the rest were deemed minor.
Regulators collude with industry, inflicting harms to people.

Fascinating how these Labour MPs have found moral standing as soon as they realise their seats might be at threat. It's almost like they are careerists with no values. Don't get me wrong, opposing Mahmood's immigration proposals is good. But where were they when these heinous proposals were made?
Funny* isn't that the Media complain about the 15% payrise for Train Drivers over 3 years, or the 22% payrise for Doctors over 3 years.
But they ignore the 76% payrise for CEO's over the last 5 years, or the 38% payrise for Bankers in 1 year.
*Disgusting
A woman is killed by a man every 3 days in the UK...
78% are murdered by a partner/ex
Yet not once have I heard Reform talk about this
Not once have I heard them back measures to protect women’s safety
In fact, they voted against them...

The Green Party SECOND in a national poll for the first time ever!
There’s no way we’re stopping there.
Time for Labour to stand down to stop splitting the anti-Reform vote?
Another short sighted decision by the “Labour” government:
As a @unison.org.uk member, I am voting for Andrea Egan for General Secretary @andrea4gs.bsky.social
It’s time UNISON stopped being subservient to the Labour government and actually stood up for its members! 📣✊💚

Privatisation has meant profit for the few whilst more & more people struggle with the cost of living.
I'm proud to be part of a Party calling this out & holding billionaires to account.
Wealth tax now, nationalise utilities, workers rights. That's what we stand for.

Petition: Use Proportional Representation at the next General Election

Except that they don’t.
Neither the right-wing media nor Labour see a potential Zack leadership as “good”… again, they wouldn’t be trying to smear him so much if that were true.
He’s not “misguided”, he’s charismatic and actually cuts through in the media, that’s what we need in a Party Leader.
You think the media smears candidates they want to win…?
Yeah, that definitely worked for Corbyn, right?
He definitely won that 2019 general election, right?
Zack is definitely not the favourite candidate of the right-wing.
He’s been smeared repeatedly by right-wing and pro-Israel media.
He also hasn’t been treated particularly favourably by the likes of LBC either.
Some Labour insiders also really hope he doesn’t win…
I don’t have any influence with Zack’s media appearances.
I am merely a member, voting in an internal party leadership election.
In the same way, I don’t have any influence in any other candidates’ media appearances, nor the MPs/London Assembly members/councillors/etc.
Zack is not in that image, nor are any Green Party members…
Not sure what specific point you’re trying to make, if any…
Okay, I’ve had a look at your profile and you seem to be spamming Zack a lot about this…
He is running in an internal party leadership election, he’s not running in a general election, or for any elected office.
He’s also spoken many times over the years about how damaging Brexit has been.
When did I (or the Green Party) say “too late now”?
Rejoining the EU is already Green Party policy.
We already keep making the case for closer realignment with the EU.
We are one of very few parliamentary parties still calling for us to rejoin the EU.
Your ire is justified, but misplaced…
More relevant issues to an internal party leadership election, when pretty much all the members are already aware of the Russian interference and party policy is already to work more closely with the EU with the ultimate goal to rejoin… yes, there are more relevant issues to this specific campaign.
You know the Greens agree, right?
The Green Party was not in government in 2019 (it was the Tories), nor have we been in government (yet) since then… we had two new Tory PMs and now a ‘Labour’ government…
Not sure why spamming my post about my vote in an internal election is going to change that…
By “six years later” I was referring to that screenshot you shared and when Boris Johnson refused to allow the report into Russian interference to be published.
Obviously, the Brexit referendum was now nine years ago.
The Greens did talk about Russian interference in the Brexit referendum; we urged for the report to be released at the time.
Why has Zack not talked about it much in a party leadership campaign, six years later…?
Probably because everyone already knows by now and there are more relevant issues?
I’m also concerned by self-described “socially conservative” (aka: anti-LGBTIQA+) MPs looking to also join this new party… including Adnan Hussain, a co-founder (alongside Corbyn) of the “Independent Alliance” in parliament…
It doesn’t represent anyone yet, because it doesn’t exist yet… 😅
The Greens are already left wing and have been for decades; we were even to the left of Labour under Corbyn.
I do wish Zarah Sultana and Jeremy Corbyn had joined the Greens, instead of starting a new party…
Last week Green Party MP Siân Berry released a full log of her first year of official meetings with campaigners and lobbyists, and is challenging all other MPs to do the same. The three other Green MPs are set to follow suit shortly.
Berry is particularly urging fossil-fuel Farage to release his...
Isn’t it time UNISON finally disaffiliated from the Labour Party?
Despite the continued use of the name, Labour are now anti-worker.
As a member of UNISON… I hate that my union is still affiliated & financially supporting a right-wing government, who is rolling back all sorts of rights & welfare.
We could not be prouder that someone is wearing one of our "pro trans, pro trains" t-shirts to anti-fascism protests in Washington DC.
