I just finished that plotline like an hour ago lol, I definitely thoroughly enjoyed Tappei loves putting Subaru in death loops this arc lol, but by far the highlights for me were Subaru calling to Satella and accepting her and Todd running from Subaru, Tappei cooked as always
Fr he must’ve died so goddamn much, it’s also crazy he called RBD an act of love compared to the ten seconds of hell loop
I should leave my house sometime that’s not for work huh
Also with how Subarus brain is reverting to a more child like state to match his body is not good, it’s also crazy that in just this section he has amassed more deaths than any other part of the series, arc 7 has had so much Subaru deaths lol
While I still overall prefer arc 6, this arc has not disappointed me so far, I do also love the things they are doing with Louis and Al, I am curious where it’ll go from here as Subaru seems to have woken up to Cecilus and is also with Tanza and is STILL a child so this can’t be good
But the big thing for me at least was the appearance of Satella, it was made very clear that RBD was clearly acting up but when Satella said “Where are you” to then saying “found you” a few chapters later I got chills and knew something was about to happen, imagining her at full power is insane
The ten second loop was hard to read and I shed a tear when Subaru got through it, that was just brutal. The nine divine generals seem like very fitting players to win this war and I love all the new characters that have been introduced, I am wondering when Todd will return.
Finished the Chaosflame portion of arc 7 of Re:Zero and this series will never not be peak.

While I do wish Subaru didn’t stay a child for as long as I think he will Tappei-sensei has still done an amazing job as always.

I agree that Rem definitely had the right to say that but it still hurt and seeing how it caused Subaru to regress was pain, I can’t wait until we see Emilia and Beako again though lol, I’m excited to see where it goes
And while I do really enjoy learning about Vollachia with how different it is than what we’re used to and Todd is also amazing so far, I do hope we do still get more Satella lore or just something with her lol, Arc 6 was perfect for me and gave me some of what I wanted and I’m craving more
I have already been spoiled beforehand that he becomes a child this arc but I’m curious about what will happen, normally I hate child reversion or amnesia tropes as it’s usually not done that well but this is Re:Zero which does the Isekai and did the amnesia tropes perfectly and is a masterpiece soo
Not to mention everything with Rem and the fact that Subaru literally can’t not catch a break, he doesn’t want to die but knows that it’s impossible for everything to go as planned if he doesn’t, and the whole “your not a hero thing” which was heartbreaking.
Yea it’s definitely interesting, I’m currently at the point where they are about to set off for the Chaosflame town and it’s been crazy so far, Subaru grew to be reliant on people and not throw away his life and now he has no one and near impossible odds, without Al he would’ve bashed his brains in
It’s happening this year for sure if not I’m gonna….

Update: I have switched to the web novel, currently after Subaru and Abel (I think that’s his name?) beat the snake and get Rem back
I am an incredibly impatient person so I will probably switch to web novel depending on how I feel
I am really looking forward to reading arc 7, especially after arc 6 ends
The world building and hints dropped in this arc were also truly captivating, just enough to satiate some of the thirst for knowledge but not enough to give any concrete or clear answers, my thirst to know more about Satella has been satiated by the smallest margin
This arc had it all, AMAZING character writing (definitely the highlight for me), a bump up in psychological horror (especially in one stretch), and overall was excellently put together, I loved the tower as the setting for this arc

This arc was a masterpiece, my favorite arc of the series so far, I already considered Re:Zero a masterpiece before this but now I can confidently say this is one of the best works of fiction I have read

I just finished a rewatch of the entire Madoka series (before I watched Rebellion many months after the show) and I need Walpurgisnacht Rising now please (Homura did nothing wrong)
So valid it’s like three to four years between each season which is why I just read up and started reading the LN, I got into Re:Zero only in November so pretty recent
I’m just incredibly impatient and I fell in love with the anime so I had to lol, and I don’t regret it at all
