Saw Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. The animatronic suits were awesome looking. A couple good jump scares too. Over all pretty fun movie if you like the ip. Oh and @coryxkenshins.bsky.social cameo steals the show again. That dude cracks me up.

Watching lots of scary stuff this season as usual, but boy howdy do I think the Chair Company is the scariest thing I’m watching. Tim Robinson is fucking brilliant. Also, Weapons is probably the best Witch movie I have ever seen.
Buying a coffee or pastry is the reason they can’t buy a house… My kid is 26, has a full time job making minimum $45k a year plus tips, and there is no way she can afford a 2 bedroom apt and childcare on her own. That is ridiculous, and it ain’t because she gets a fucking Dunkin every week.

7. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t want to live on the beach in a storm… but I can assure you I wouldn’t survive a week in the Outback. So I think that having the same main character every season has made the show pretty boring. End of rant. Thanks for attending my TEd Talk.
6. I think the last comment is a symptom of why I feel like Survivor is just kind of stale. The biggest Character in every great season was the location. China was an insane season. The landscape was the biggest antagonist of the show. And now, it is always in the same location.
5. They are a little soft on the players now. Plain and simple, nobody suffered like the first 10 seasons, but lately They aren’t breaking these people down like they did. This is humane, but kind of sucks.
4. The twists and Idols. Honestly, it amazes me that they can keep this as fresh as they do after all these years. The hidden Idols ARE the star of the show. It causes all the shit. Some of the brain challenges they do now are brutal too. This is many the problem.
3. The Challenges. I can watch the challenge with the balls they drop in the little steel “rollercoaster” all day long. The challenges are a little bit redundant at this point, but some are just so good. The challenges aren’t the problem.
2. The players… I mean, once you had a Russell or Boston Rob it’s tough to get better villains/players. Great players lift an entire season, but after 40+ seasons, finding new personalities has got to be tough. So it may be a little bit of this…
1. They pumped up Jeff for a while. He was hanging off a helicopter or on the edge of a volcano… now not as much. But Jeff’s shit talking is still top notch. He is by far my favorite part of Survivor. He is just ridiculous, and I am here for it… so Jeff isn’t why.
I have watched pretty much every season of Survivor. It’s been pretty stale the last (at least) 5 seasons. The occasional great personality helps get me through it. But the last two seasons have been a slog, so I started thinking about why this bubblegum television lost its luster…
