A clip from The New York Times reads: "But only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are eligible to recover that money. That means that the fuller universe of people affected by Mr. Trump’s policies — including millions of Americans who paid higher prices for the products they bought — are not able to apply for direct relief.

The extent to which consumers realize any gain hinges on whether businesses share the proceeds, something that few have publicly committed to do. Some have started to band together in class-action lawsuits in the hopes of receiving a payout."

The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.

Illinois Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton, the Democrat favored to win the race to succeed Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), says she won’t support Sen. Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) to serve another term as Senate Democratic leader.

“I’ve made it clear that I would not support Chuck Schumer as leader of the Democratic caucus because I think right now what I’m hearing from voters all across the state of Illinois is that they are fed up. They’re fed up with what’s happening in Washington,” Stratton told progressive YouTube commentator Jack Cocchiarella in an interview.

I feel like more Democrats who are running this year need to make it clear that they will push for a change in leadership. I'm not sure they understand how angry people are at the current leadership

During his livestream just a few moments ago, Alex Jones says his last broadcast under the Infowars banner will be May 30, adding: "Infowars is just a name!"

He then urges his listeners to continue to support the Alex Jones Network and the products that he sells under that brand.
