In people’s lives it cannot rain forever because the sun exists for everyone.

Skylar’s mother walks home ready to let her son go onto his own path and feeling more serene and at ease with this new found knowledge.

At last Skylar is shining in his own light and is ready for a new path to face stronger than before.

There is no longer any need to stand guard and continue to protect him because she now knows that Skylar is happy and will be able to cope on his own and that, even if he has difficulties, he will know how to deal with them.

So as a parent she has always had bad thoughts that made her restless and anxious.

But then, thanks also to professor Lee’s words, she realised that she no longer needed to worry and that her son had finally chosen the right path.

As Skylar’s mother watches from a distance, she thinks about what her son had to face and what she had to do to protect him.

In the past, Skylar’s mother, in order to protect him, checked relentlessly on Skylar for fear that he might hurt himself or continue to suffer.

The sky is finally coloured with its own light and a new life path begins: Skylar is finally happy. He has regained his confidence, his love for Cirrus, started to stand on his own two feet and to trust himself.

These 2 opposite reactions led to the 2 boys coming full circle and finally be both “lost in the cloud” on the very first snow day together.

He feels happy just by seeing Skylar happy and cared of, smiling every day that’s why he let Skylar go thinking he might not be good enough for him…but Skylar came back to him.

Living without the love he has for Cirrus it feels like being stuck in the same place without being able to move on.

On the other hand, Cirrus realised what it means to genuinely love someone without being too selfish about it.

he himself has always been the one person to always run away from problems without facing them. If he had allowed Cirrus to disappear from his life, it would have been like going back to square one back when he had to change schools and living with the constant fear of making the same mistakes.
