FCC reaches initial decision in the case of Cesar Guel ALJ: Guel can remain involved with broadcast stations, but disclosure must be provided on any application he is involved with. He cannot have any controlling interest.

Cesar Guel can remain involved with other stations, however that involvement must be disclosed with any application filed. He cannot have any attributable interest in any station, even if the alien ownership rules are followed. recnet.substack.com/p/fcc-reache...

Good morning from Riverton. Over the past weekend, we have done a ton of behind the scenes work to the various servers that impact our public facing websites and internal applications. So far, we have seen some significant improvements in response times on all sites. Please report any issues.

REC's main content site (recnet.com) is expected to be down sometime today (6/15/25) for approximately two hours. Other REC sites will continue to operate normal during that time, however links to resources on the content site will be not operational. This is a part of our system improvements.

Today, we did some behind the scenes work consolidating several relay servers into a single instance. Relay servers are a proxy between REC and the FCC for public facing applications, REC internal applications and eLMS. If you experience any issues, please let us know. Good night from Riverton.

REC is finishing up some technical work including a server migration for our recnet.com content website. This is intended to address the slow system response across many sites in the REC universe. You may get security (SSL) messages during the transition.

Protecting local radio means bringing all radio to the table. Saving local stations should not involve a complete elimination of local and national ownership caps. Claiming that "big tech" is destroying local broadcasting is a distraction.
