And it was great to meet @graham1960.bsky.social at the West Road Tap to talk (not only) about his book ‚Southend-On-Zine‘. The micropub has an old telephone booth in the front garden that works as an art space - I added a little bit of #SubbuteoArt.

I had the joy to visit Southend-On-Sea for #LeToMaGic issue 8 last weekend. Roots Hall is a wonderful stadium - and thanks for the nice welcome in the lovely curated Grrrl Zine Library at The Old Waterworks nearby.

Last year @spiral-tat.bsky.social & @miketyl.bsky.social visited @ozdfest.bsky.social (not the fest, but the person and shop behind it) and bought these wonderful zines for me - thanks a lot!

I hope, I manage to visit that magical place myself one day!

I’ve been to Derry for #LeToMaGiC issue eight, too. I admired the murals, my favourite being the one for Nell McCafferty, was happy to receive a bottle cap from a brewing cooperative called Lacada in Portrush and enjoyed the hospitality at @derrycityfc.net.

I visited Dublin for #LeToMaGiC issue eight, but it seems like the famous #ForgottenZineArchive is no longer operating. Though the @marshslibrary.bsky.social has an even longer history. Footballwise it was a pleasure to watch the @shamrockrovers.ie women to win at home.

I believe this is the only known use of Juan Guzman's famed Marina Ginestà photo during the Spanish Civil War itself, an image which has come this century to represent more than any other the revolutionary hopes of 1936.
