I’ve got a new video up about AI generated birds! I do rant a bit, but it’s alarming how much this slop is becoming a problem, certainly worse than I realized before researching this.

Ironically, ATL is one of the airports where missing a flight probably won't hurt, as there are so many options. If you miss your first flight of (an inevitably) multi-leg journey from PWM, that could easily be a full day hit.
Would that still be true if they were called "Weinstein Movie" and he appeared in every scene?
According to @themainemonitor.org, they will build solar to generate 150MW, but claim to only need 25MW on days with "no solar output." Really? Why would they build 6x the solar generation they need? The Lewiston Sun Journal says they will need "about 82 megawatts, with a potential to scale higher."
'We have to get beyond this trope that “taxes are always bad.” Taxes aren’t the enemy. They’re the entry fee for a state worth living in. Any businessperson who can’t see the return on that investment isn’t paying close enough attention.'
If you "group by size" on that page, it shows that almost $6m came in donations of under $200. You can see the largest individual donors at the link below.

I did weekend overnights for 6 months or so in college. I can't recommend it.
News used to be better.

He discovered that we had "mailing lists" before social media, there was a mailing list for "cypherpunks", both Satoshi and this guy used the word "backup" on that list, and they both use two spaces after a period. Pretty thin gruel.
The article is not convincing, but at least it's long.
I haven’t. I’m not sure she ever had my contact info. I’m actually shocked it’s still in existence. She must be offering a service(?) that someone is happy with. Or she crashed and burned and this is a relaunch?

Vampire slayers.
Snow falling over a lawn, dock, and pond.
This weekend I put away the snowblower, driveway markers, and snowshoes, so I take full responsibility for this. I can only apologize.
Tough hit on Bangor.
NWS forecast showing “snow showers likely” tomorrow and “chance snow showers“ tomorrow night.
Nope
Reason number 42 NASA would fire me: coming out of loss of signal I would be screaming about aliens eating the crew and then cut the comms.
As someone whose livelihood depends on these data centers to house the big ass computers I've spent my career building, I'm all for this moratorium. Developers must provide complete and timely info about the impacts to local economies and environments before being allowed to start construction.
It's been a couple of hours, and I still haven't seen or heard of a single corporate joke today. I have seen at least a dozen angry, snide, or world-weary posts complaining about these elusive jokes, though.
Relegation. The bottom 3 teams drop down to the G League, and the top 3 G League teams move up. Add some real peril.
I’m sure Susan Collins, chair of the Appropriations Committee, will be very concerned about this misappropriation of funds.
This is the 7th year in a row, and 9th of the last 10, in which the Red Sox have started the season with a manager who cheated his way into, and through, the World Series.
Sara Gideon is still sitting on $3.2 million from her failed campaign against Susan Collins. What are the rules on contributing that to the winner of the democratic primary?
Apparently taken by www.instagram.com/markpeterson.... He has a style, of which this is a solid example.
I haven't read the article yet (open in that tab there -->), but this is a heck of a picture.
We tried that with our border collie mix. Unfortunately it was a group class, so there was a lot of standing around and waiting, which was very much not his jam. I kinda wish we had sprung for the one-on-one training, because I think he would have loved it.
It’s actually a show? I thought it was just a 3 times a week NYT crossword clue.
