Yeah from what I remember it just kinda stopped being a thing we did in the morning after 6th grade. When it was done yes they made us do it. I didn't do it once in 5th grade, not because I was against it, I just didn't for whatever reason and I got YELLED at and told I had to.

I did all through elementary school. I don't really remember doing that from middle school onwards though except the occasional assembly where they made us do it.
