I'm pleased to announce that Lux Patrum has reached an agreement with the Vatican to publish a Latin-English edition of papal documents on the Holy Rosary. The following texts will be included:
Happy to send you a copy if you don't have access.
My new JTS article on (Ps.-)Didymus the Blind's De Trinitate is out! I argue for a late-fourth-century dating, showing that the angelology of De Trin is perfectly compatible with practices of angel veneration that are well-attested in that period. academic.oup.com/jts/advance-...
In response to your feedback on the proofs, Lux Patrum has reworked our Latin-English edition of Augustine's De Trinitate to a two-column format with a larger font size. I think it turned out quite well! It'll be published in a few days.
Congrats on the article, @philipgporter.bsky.social ! Excited to read it.
fresh beginning!) Reach out to nathan@luxpatrum.com if you're interested.
A sample passage from Homily 14, delivered at the Easter Vigil:
Some time ago I translated a couple of Asterius of Cappadocia's beautiful Homilies on the Psalms into English. If someone would like to translate more of these homilies for Lux Patrum, I'd be very happy to let you use my translations and a few other drafts as a starting point. (Or you can make a
Lux Patrum plans to release three Newman titles this year, with introductions/prefaces by leading scholars:
1. The Theology of Athanasius — Pref by Lewis Ayres
2. The Eirenicon Controversy — Intro by Matthew Levering
3. The Arians of the Fourth Century — Intro by Reinhard Hütter
Too few people have read the works of the great Nicholas of Cusa — partly because Jasper Hopkins's excellent translations have long been unavailable. Lux Patrum is bringing them back into print along with the critical Latin text. Pick up a copy at luxpatrum.com
Proofs of our Latin-English edition of Augustine's De Trinitate have arrived!
Very generous praise for Lux Patrum from Lewis Ayres and Paul Blowers. We are deeply grateful for this early support!

🎶 Here comes Origen, here comes Origen 🎶
I'm delighted to announce that our Greek-English edition of Origen's Contra Celsum is out! This massive 750-page dual-language volume—the very first of its kind—is now available for just $23.98 at luxpatrum.com/origen-again...
Typesetting for all 13 books of Richard Fitzpatrick’s beautiful new translation of Euclid’s Elements is complete. Can’t wait to see this Greek-English edition in print—it’ll be the very first dual-language version of Euclid, as far as I know.
This is in fact the very first *complete* English translation of the work—Ed Creedy and I translated into English the portions of the work that the earlier translator had deemed too risqué for general consumption and had therefore rendered only in Latin.
I'm pleased to announce that our Greek-English edition of Clement's Instructor (Paedogogus) is officially available for purchase. luxpatrum.com/clement-of-a...
I am holding in my hands what is (I believe) the first ever Greek-English edition of Origen's Contra Celsum. This massive 750-pager will go to print soon! Excellent editorial work, Lachlan Hodgson.
survive modern scrutiny, Newman’s comments on texts, and reflections on some of the great theological questions of that mighty age remain penetrating, stimulating and deeply insightful. Lux Patrum has rendered a great scholarly service by gathering these texts into one beautifully produced volume.”
A very kind blurb from Lewis Ayres on the second volume of our collection of Newman's Writings on the Fathers:
“Students of the Fathers deprive themselves of still vital reflections if they ignore the texts found in this collection. While his grand narratives of the Patristic period rarely

1. Pusey's Eirenicon and Newman's reply in a single volume
2. Joseph Fessler's treatise The True and the False Infallibility of the Popes (1871), important to Newman's view of infallibility.
Received a spectacular Christmas present today: Reinhard Hütter's introductory essay to Lux Patrum's forthcoming edition of John Henry Newman's Arians of the Fourth Century. Excited to get this into print, along with the second volume of Newman's writings on the Fathers.
