I highly recommend you check out the whole show - great insight in how #PFF revolutionized some of the ways people saw the game & become a valuable resource, the guys reflecting on their snarky attitude in the early days, but its downfall due to corporate greed & shortsightedness! 🪦
Well this wasn’t the podcast I was expecting today. Steve Palazzolo, Mike Renner and particularly @sammonson.bsky.social did not spare the details on the demise of @profootballfocus.bsky.social. As a PFF fan since the mid-2010s this was weirdly cathartic.

About halfway through listening to this. It is funny how much this just mirrors any kind of story of a business that becomes successful. You could take this entire conversation & just substitute the company name & it all still tracks.

Sad that it ended with the same miserable inevitability of corporate greed.
Lot of conflicting emotions seeing the sale of PFF. Proud of what we built and sad to see it go this way.
This is such a stupid take, I don't believe he's that ignorant of history.
People just invent whatever facts they believe to be convenient to the argument they want to make.
You won't be challenged on it by the person you're talking to. And subsequent people you can motte and bailey fallacy them.
4!
Reaction to the huge Crosby news. Trade OFF!

Parsons was drafted as an off-the-ball LB not an edge rusher, and he's one of the fastest and most explosive players in the game. Bain doesn't win that way so his lack of length is a bigger deal.
Am I correct in thinking that anyone texting me from a VOIP is basically untraceable?
Thx!
Right on track
Tommy Tuberville is genuinely one of the dumbest motherfuckers walking the earth.
Not yet, technically.
It says something pretty significant about the American psyche that
1. most sports present the owner with the winning trophy, not the players that just won it.
2. a big chunk of people think that makes perfect sense, cos he's the rich guy that bankrolled it.
I didn't say it was.
But it should be pretty fucking obvious from the last few weeks that this isn't going the same as standing up to a bully.
I mean look, if you ask me, the entire 2nd amendment is an idiotic concept that's a complete anachronism in modern society. People shouldn't be armed.
But a trained federal agent shouldn't react to seeing a gun on someone by pumping him full of lead in a panic.
This country is staggeringly broken.
And anyone who criticizes it is un-American.
American exceptionalism has a lot to answer for. Half the world is going to hell in a handcart, but over here, everyone's armed while they're doing stupid things with little training.
None of this shit is justified
The fuck it is.
They absolutely do not.
Somebody got shot. Again.
Somebody was killed. Again.
If your first reaction to that isn't that it's terrible and we need to work to prevent even more deaths, you're working on a cynical moral level I don't want to relate to.
I honestly try+take time to see things from both sides before entrenching an opinion on something. Particularly in today's world where everything can lie at first glance.
The fact that so many people in power IMMEDIATELY declare a set of facts in these incidents tells you they're not honest actors
I see we're doing it all over again today.
Quick, someone sign Ty Montgomery!
