I have more bruises from sleeping on the floor than from the actual surgery lol

Sunday night I slept on a hoptal waiting room floor with a folded coat as a pillow & cardigan as a blanket. Was 3am before I got an actual blanket and 4am before I got a bed. TUH staff couldn't have been more incredible especially given the chaotic circumstances.

I'm doing okay, considerably more mobile than I was after top surgery, but on strong painkillers. Had really bad pains on Saturday that didn't go away on Sunday so I went to A&E. Diagnosed with a really nasty case of appendicitis that they say they caught just in time to operate successfully.

was in hoptal for an emergency appendectomy on Monday so I'm going to have to miss DCAF the one time I actually had a plus one & social energy to attend. I hope everyone has a great time at it this weekend
