oh man I am jealous, I have a very old artbook someone gave me with his work that I love to stare at, but I would kill to see one of his paintings up close. A lot of them are HUGE too

been really enjoying revisiting Robert Batemans work, his stuff is so realistic, but also incredibly atmospheric and natural the way the animals fit into the scene.

I find I’m never doing stuff in order I jump around the process until I get a general idea of what I want the final painting to be, then I’ll go in and render from there!
