“Shit.” He ducked just out of the way of a blast, feeling the heat searing his skin.

His jaw clenched, his temper flaring. He wasn’t going to let some idiot with a gun defeat him.

He heard footsteps behind him and quickly turned to face the enemy, raising his sai, prepared to counter his attack.

Simultaneously, his other fist shot upward with precision, aiming to deliver a powerful blow to the first combatant.

He swiftly dodged to the side, maintaining a constant motion to ensure that the bullets whizzed past him harmlessly. With a calculated move, he swung his arm downward, causing the gunfire to ricochet off the ground.

Simultaneously, his other arm remained free, deftly blocking the incoming attack from the second troop. A confident, smug smirk spread across his face, signalling his realization that this battle might not be as challenging as he initially anticipated.

With a swift and precise motion, he flipped his sai, expertly hooking one of the blades onto the pole. Using the leverage, he propelled himself upward, delivering a powerful kick aimed at the side of one of the troops.

Alright figured I give this a shot.

“Damnit.” He growled, glancing at the troops.

He knew this wasn’t gonna be an easy fight. Being as hard headed as he was he wouldn’t back down.

“Four against one? yeah real fair guys.” He taunted. “Alright, let’s do this I ain’t got all night.”

“Don’t tell me how to be Pal. Ain’t gonna work in your favour.” His eyes narrowed as he pulled out his sai.

“But if someone gotta stand between you and the humans, guess it’s gonna be me.”

“Ain’t that hard to understand. Not all of them are bad.”

He shrugged, watching Aetla carefully.

“Most of ‘em are just tryin’ to make it in this world like the rest of us. Don’t see the harm in helpin’ them. Least the good ones.”

Alright figured I give this a shot.

“City’s quiet for now.” *his eye narrowed, though exhausted.* “dunno how long that will last.”

*He was parked on the docks in his Nightwatcher gear, quietly listening to the police scanner for something interesting to happen.*

*jumps down into an alleyway to deal with some thugs*

“Well, the name’s Raphael…call me Raph for short.” He shrugged. “C’mon, let’s get ya off the streets, humans don’t exactly react well to people like us.” *he gestured for her to follow*

“Well that’s New York for ya.” *he chuckled slightly*

“Look uh, maybe I can try and help ya get back to wherever you came from…”

*he trailed off not knowing her name*

*Raph looked her over before pulling off his helmet* “Been followin’ you for awhile. I take it you ain’t from around here.” *his tone gruff, that hot headed edge always present.*

“Oh,ho ho…how cute. Pussy cat’s got a temper.” *he smirked pulling his sai from the compartment on the back of his gear*

“This night just got interestin’.”
