Return to Oz: An Oscars-Night Diary The night involved a pair of split pants, a minor earthquake, and a major lovefest for “Anora.”

A chat with Rita Wilson at a bar in the Dolby Theatre, a costume change for Colman Domingo, and a minor earthquake: read @michaelschulman.bsky.social’s dispatch from last night’s Oscars.

Two people are walking down the street with grim looks on their faces. One says to the other, “Just like last time, it’s unprecedented.”

“Wicked” and “Gladiator II” Offer Nostalgic, Half-Satisfying Showdowns With a musical return to Oz and a bloody epic of ancient Rome, Hollywood studios double down on blockbuster spectacle.

All yellow brick roads lead to Rome: I wrote about the very mixed bag of popcorn that is Glicked, aka Wadiator, aka Backstabs and Broomsticks. On WICKED (PART I) and GLADIATOR II: www.newyorker.com/magazine/the...

Both very excited for the final 3 episodes of Arcane and also not at all ready for it to end. Act II was incredible.

Not sure what is more terrifying: a notification from Snapchat that says “Hey, remember this?” or when a “Your memories on Facebook” message pops up. I can tell you this, though… both are very humbling.

“Say Nothing” Is a Gripping Drama of Political Disillusionment The FX adaptation of Patrick Radden Keefe’s book captures both the allure of the I.R.A.’s cause and the way violence comes to weigh on its perpetrators.

SAY NOTHING, which spans 40 years to trace the life of an I.R.A. bomber and her relationship with her sister (an even fiercer fighter), is a very strong contender for the best show of the year.

If you loved Cristin Milioti in The Penguin but haven’t seen her episode of Mythic Quest, “A Dark Quiet Death,” you should do that . . . . ASAP.

Watched The Zone of Interest a few nights ago and was blown away. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie do so much with sound. Haunting and gut-wrenching from beginning to end. It’s a movie that will stay with you.

The ‘Spider-Man 2’ Take on Coney Island May Be Better Than the Real Thing The new PlayStation 5 game reimagines the iconic Brooklyn landmark as New York’s own little Disneyland—and you’ll wish it were real.

For The Daily Beast, I talked to Insomniac Games’ Ryan Smith, Lauren Mee and Jacinda Chew about how they pulled off that incredible Coney Island sequence in ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.’

Check it out and learn a lot of very cool things!

I really love ‘Mission: Impossible 3’ and ranking all these great movies (except for MI2) was so tough.

I really miss opening credits in movies.

What’s your favorite opening title sequence? Mine is the either Casino Royale or The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Fincher edition)
