New IJDB issue! Our cover image features an immunostaining of neural crest cells and their derivatives in an Mllt1 E10.5 murine embryo from the paper by Zinck et al doi.org/10.1387/ijdb... Congratulations to the team of @aineurolab.bsky.social for their outstanding contribution!
Last Friday Sara Martin defended her PhD Thesis supervised by Unai Silvan & Senentxu Lanceros-Mendez @bcmaterials.bsky.social. Big thanks to the committee members Manuel Mata, Sylvie Ribeiro and Gaskon Ibarretxe (@signalinglab.bsky.social)!
👏🎓 Second new PhD in a row in only two days!!
Congratulations Sara Martín for becoming PhD in the @ehu.eus Biomedical Research doctoral programme! Also congratulations to her thesis coordinators, the #BCMaterials researchers Unai Silván and Senentxu Lanceros-Méndez!

The research of John Gurdon revolutionized the field of Developmental Biology and was anything but a "total waste of time": ijdb.ehu.eus/article/pdf/.... In the photo Sir Gurdon at the first Congress of the @sebioldev.bsky.social held in Bilbao in 1996 and his message in the guest book.
Very sad news. He was one of the most generous scientists I have ever met.
Fascinating work by Kim et al. on how mechanical cues guide differentiation. Read the full article here: ijdb.ehu.eus/article/2402...
