inspiring story for indie creators around the world

and like, no one was like "my Paternal Instincts are Tingling" when god of war or death stranding had major parent child relationships as a part of their narrative. people only care for it when the kid is a pretty little girl who does whatever you tell her to. feels weird!!!!!
not even in a sexual sense exactly. its kind of like a weird fucked up parental fantasy? what if you had a kid that was endlessly loving, intelligent and curious, and lacked any pesky internality? and then the game could engage with this with intention but it instead goes "that would be lit"
every clip i see of pragmata feels strangely fetishistic and then i see a post noticing the same thing and all the comments are like "ermm shes just a Normal Kid who Thats how a Normal Kid Looks and Acts You might be the Pedophile here Bro"

Kyynelkanavaa,
a more traditional take on video game creation. It's a methodical puzzle-platformer about retracing your steps.

Whenever I do a stealth kill in a game I pretend I’m doing an E3 presentation and say stuff like “We’re giving players the choice to approach combat in a variety of ways”
this is interesting because as someone who didn't grow up with 16 bit computing i didn't even really consider uncanny valley could be a factor? i see this and i just see someone trying to carve their own aesthetic. resolution and color limitations as their own choice rather than as nostalgia related
It’s inaccurate to say Mario is brave and Luigi is cowardly
Luigi is afraid of death, so he runs away from danger. Mario is afraid of living, so he runs towards death. Both brothers are cowards in their own way
Interestingly, the IguaRPG 2 demo has the least Engagement of all my latest stuff. Kind of a bummer, since it’s my big project! Maybe you should play it and rate it and post in the silly itch community though!!!

im not an ai booster or whatever but it feels incredibly disingenuous to base a take around metaphysical Intrinsic properties of intelligence and then go "but they'll probably just say some dumb philosophy shit when i bring that up". if you're gonna make it about practicalities then do that!
BAFTA pulling a trailer for an autobiographical game about surviving sexual assault only hours before it was said to be a part of a showcase is an exceptionally bad look.
Why do the Japanese like their buns askew (2026)
I decided to re-register an account to enjoy the memes of our 1990s #MoonChild game. 😁👍
I designed Hoi and Moon Child. Reinier van Vliet coded it, and Ramon Braumuller made the soundtrack.

we too easily forget that film is a relatively old medium
i wonder how much longer "Video Games are a relatively young medium" has
a teenage detective comic
im mostly just happy you dont have to go through The Trial of Patience to load the game up anymore
theyre calling it the worst "best games ever made list" ever made
ANNOUNCEMENT: I will stop running "scheduled" Ludum Dare events in 3 years! "Scheduled" is the key word though.
My hope is that leaders within the community can build something better, more welcoming, that honors our legacy. They've got 3 years to figure it out. You even get to study me. 😋 #LDJam

If ya'll could boost my game I'd very much appreciate it!
Trying to get to 50 reviews for the Steam algorithm. I already have glowing reviews from the likes of Raigan Burns (N++) and Daniel Linssen (Leap Year) and just need a handful more.

it does unfortunately just kind of look like "what if peggle sucked"
a screenshot of peggle (1991) with a puck about to descend on pegs suspended above a line of cauldrons and bonus pots
peggle, with a ball about to descend on pegs suspended above a ball-catching cauldron
one of my fav video game facts nobody talks about is that popcap just ripped off peggle from incredible technologies who put out a game with the same name and strikingly similar gameplay in 1991. they have never acknowledged this in any interview i can find
it even has the ball catcher mechanic
please help me hit 10 reviews on steam! that's apparently the magic number where god himself smiles upon me and i would like to feel something other than the cold embrace of the void, if only for a moment.
