I just had a deepcore memory of “Run, Joe, Run” unlocked. I can’t imagine I ever watched it on purpose, but I could visualize the whole opening from the audio clip.

Re Little Women— the 70s TV version has Susan Dey as Jo, Meredith Baxter Birney as Meg, Eve Plumb as Beth, and Tucson AZ’s own Ann Dusenberry as Amy. With Richard Gilliland as Laurie — the whole cast is a roster of “Hey it’s that guy/gal”.

Nice to hear that Extra Credit from back in the day. Note to SDB: I actually did go to the Lizzie Borden B&B for my birthday once upon a time. They had a last minute cancellation in the guest room (supposedly the most haunted) and had a ghostly encounter.

Lime definitely. Or the OG lemon.

And getting to the end… hey, that sounds like a fun extra credit, I wonder who— oh. Hi.

(And from March 2016, before we jumped into the Mirror Universe.)

As a Tucson-AZ-raised guy, hearing Tara namecheck Eegee’s was amazing. Every summer I get the Eegee’s craving.

Somehow I thought that ep of West Wing was already some kind of founding cornerstone of the Nonac — great to hear SDB tear into this Nonackiest piece of blather.

Late at my desk writing about 100 emails with a finicky keyboard. Thus:

Me, thinking, “oh, how horrible could the OMG podcast really be?” Sugarman: “carpotty carpotty carpotty carpotty” Garth: “You know what I wish on someone? DIARRHEA.” Me: jesus Tara & Sarah do not get paid nearly enough to listen to this (literal) shit.

I am going to try to use the phrase “titular dingus” as much as possible in 2025.

I love love love when you revisit commercials, and this ep was fantastic. It was perfectly seasonally cozy — listened while doing holiday stuff. ALSO have really enjoyed all the pre-taped stuff and am glad to know you all get a holiday break (while still kindly supplying us all with great episodes.)

@againwiththis.bsky.social Proste…Prosthela…Prothstelize <aaaaaaaaaaiiii!> You are doing the Lord’s work here. The scream clip, chef’s kiss. (Also, do you think Sugarman meant “Machiavellian”? No, me neither.)

Hearing Dave’s Gordon Lightfoot voice in the Extra Credit at the end… 😢 Rest well, Murray.

This is the view on my street when cruise ships come to town. Ginormous.

I’ve been an devoted listener since Mark I (!!) and it seems wild to realize the “new” version has been lighting up Wednesdays for 10 years. I’ve been an occasional contributor, always a fan. Happy birthday EHG.

The best conversations happen during breaks, in that in-between space. In rehearsal this week, have gotten into suddenly-deep topics: power dynamics in theater / the wonder we feel as children (and still feel) & recreating that through the physical power of music / also, cats on bicycles.
