I've wanted to be an actor since I was 3 years old. Watching cartoons and practicing the voices was an obsession of mine. One that I still have to this day. If you love something you find a way to make it work. Even if you don't live where the industry says you're supposed to.

Beginners might think it's important to sound like others, different & unique, but the most important lesson you can learn is to lean into your own uniqueness. Your voice is 100% different already. You're cool so be yourself 1st!

This is my wife. She is awesome and does awesome things. Including acting, directing, writing, voice acting, teaching. She also has a huge heart and gives her all when it comes to the people she cares about.

I know that being a director is a juggling flaming chainsaws act and I don't have a great solution to this problem but I just thought that it was interesting that someone like Harrison Ford is thinking about this at his level. 😁

auditioned? Was I supposed to come up with something different? To this day I still don't know, because I never actually got to discuss it with the director. Ford goes on to say "...it helps to feel that the director is somehow connected to what you're doing. and it's not just an

acting jobs where I auditioned for one part and booked a completely different one that I didn't even audition for. Which might sound cool but in practice it is terrifying for someone new to a set. Like was I just supposed to play this other character the same way I did when I

envisioned. Most people will say "well that's the job." but that is why I think it is such a shame because no other job would ask the new recruit to come into their first day of work and be prepared to understand everything as well as a 20+ year veteran. I've had

the director or AD yells action and away you go. After 1, 2, 3, 10 takes, and the lead stepping away to discuss something with the director, your job is done and you go home, without knowing if you were even facing the right direction let alone if your acting was what they had

the job as already hard enough without having to stumble around blindly and hope that you're doing an okay job. Often times when you are cast, you show up to set & are shuffled around quickly until suddenly you are in front of a camera. Then usually without warning

Sometimes there are just no auditions for you, & that sucks, but don't fret. This path is full of highs & lows. Focus on what you can control & trust that when something right for you comes your way you'll be ready. 😎
