So huge
Nice! Orange line could do with more TOD, this is a great sign
And the map of the streetcars in Chicago was insane. You could pretty much get anywhere without a car.
Two bikes on the blue line
Cta is a multimodal Mecca
My folks have a lakehouse by dowagiac and only one car, but whenever they ever go separate itโs rarely by Amtrak because the schedules are so infrequent.
Theyโre more likely to drive down to south bend to drop/pick up the other because south shore trains are frequent
Iโve had some lag the last couple days on buses that I donโt get on trains and donโt recall getting on buses before but not a straight up insufficient fare flag. Even a lag feels stressful on a bus tho cause youโre holding up the line & therefore the whole bus ๐ฌ๐
A split bar chart of YouGov polling data with the headline: "Americans are most likely to say T. Rex is their favorite dinosaur, but many don't have a favorite." The chart has the sub-headline: "Which of the following is your favorite dinosaur? (%)." The chart has the note: "Note: "Other" includes responses of archaeopteryx, spinosaurus, plesiosaur, ankylosaurus, allosaurus, parasaurolophus, dilophosaurus, diplodocus, iguanadon, and pachycephalosaurus, as well as responses of "other." We know pterodactyls and plesiosaurs aren't dinosaurs. Opinion about dinosaurs comes from the question, "How much do you like or dislike dinosaurs?""
A shocking new poll result: Many Americans somehow don't have a favorite dinosaur.
And only 6% give the correct answer (triceratops).

Cta bus on state street passes a planter full of yellow orange and white tulips blooming
Oh springtime bus
I love you so much
Who wouldnโt wanna
Take a bus in spring time
Unless I bike
Or go take a hike
Itโs fun to take a bus
In springtime! ๐ท
My husbandโs parents got engaged on the 22, the bus is super sexy
Cafe urbano on Elston & avers also has a nice patio!
An alley turned into a walkway, patio, and plaza space for downtown Jefferson park next to Wessonโs coffee and tap
Kopi in Andersonville has a fun travel vibe and a great back patio, tre kronor on foster is a full brunch restaurant but they also have an amazing back patio in the summer.
If you wanna go a little further, Westonโs cafe in Jeff park has a history mural on their patio and a little stage for events
View from the boat in Ghent
My folks were just there with my nieces around the same age and they did some historic boat tour that went underground that they all enjoyed! Will get more specifics
I genuinely do not understand the impulse to scold people for identifying the economy as being very bad right now for them and people like them
Especially on The Trans Website
The trans unemployment rate is DOUBLE the rate for cis people, and ~40% of trans people are underemployed
WNBA star Brianna Turner has written an article denouncing the new invasive sex testing requirements of the IOC.

I love how in that era people left their bikes propped against the sidewalk, Iโve seen it in Chicago photos too, itโs like itโs got a life of its own just chillin upright on its pedal
Heroes! ๐ซก

There was also a militaristic motivation to it that many disliked. By carving up the medieval streets that were useful for urban warfare in previous revolutions, the govt could more easily bring the military down a wide straight boulevard to crush rebellion
Another reminder that government regulations are good actually, and dismantling science and civil service is bad
Of course it is!
My husbands always afraid our dog will get stolen cause sheโs cute lol, I feel like heโs a bit biased though
"Hate all this?" [sweeping hand gesture] "Try decarbonization and progressive governance instead!"
It's sitting right there.
So stinkin cute
I got excited about this til I realized it was a subtweet lol.
But my high school really did put the whole school on the red line a number of times! Since we didnโt have our own gym, so weโd use another schoolโs that was right up the (rail)road for pep rallies & stuff.
Look at all that water and land with greenery. What a miracle that the Earth even exists, and that every single one of us was born on it. We should treat each other and our planet much better.
Obsessed with the idea of a Peoria renaissance driven by a great migration of LGBTQ Midwesterners.
๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ Marching for trans rights and trans lives! Today in Chicago after the Rally for Trans Visibility, organized by @transupfrontil.com and other groups - we were proud to support. ๐ฉท๐
I N I!
This is the transit future liberals want.
