We are delighted to acknowledge the continued generous support of the Continuo Foundation for this concert.
For patrons who have bought tickets especially for the live dancing, we are happy to provide a refund or to hold your reservation for the concert of dance which we fully expect to hold in the months ahead. Contact Manchester Baroque directly.
Our ‘Nations’ theme will explore Italy, France, Spain, England, China and Egypt with music by Handel, Vivaldi, Telemann, Couperin and Muffat.
Our musicians are keen to keep the music alive and still perform next Saturday, keeping the theme of the original programme and some of the same music, but making some adaptations in repertoire to reflect the change of the event to a more conventional concert.
We are very sorry to announce that the Mercurius Dance Company has had to withdraw from our ‘Dance of the Nations’ concert on Saturday 15th February, due to a medical emergency with one of the dancers.
