One more week of the summer holidays, I think I can quite proudly say I’m ready to get stuck in and get a routine going again! 😃
Our marking policy was really good and we did live marking - the way our class ran with continuous provision we only ever had 8 max to mark, per person, whether it be TA or teacher led.
I’ve requested! Really interested, thanks 💓
I’ve completed my first year after finishing my NQT last year
1) fake it til you make it and it’ll soon come naturally. (I was notorious for going completely blotchy doing public things infront of parents!!)
2) make the most of your PPA sessions, don’t just browse the server!!
3) Ask for help!
Some schools I know usually give homework at half terms with 5 or so activities for them to complete before coming back to school.
In our N/R class we asked N to have a book read to them or ask the chd to read the book using the pictures and find their sound of the week. R were asked to read their story or CVC words every weeks. At half term they were given tricky words to recap.
Nor me, I usually get my eyes tested at Vision Express just because all my history is there and usually end up buying from Specsavers!
It’s ridiculous! At one point I ended up having to go back every 6 months until I politely explained I can’t keep paying it. I’ve had these ones for a year in September and I can already tell there is a slight change. Every 2 years seems like a good idea!
Appreciate your feedback! Did you find they were expensive?
I only needed glasses when I was 18, I’m 24 now so I am pretty fairly new to the glasses game. The only downfall is every year, no doubt my prescription has changed and it gets expensive!!
I never knew that role existed either, a few years back I constantly ended up with sore eyes and ended up being referred to the hospital so I have quite a lot of scarring. However, my glasses are for distance and I can see perfect up close, but are quite thick lenses in one eye!
Thanks Jenny, much appreciated! I’m actually going to see a contact specialist that goes to the hospital, so hopefully they can guide me further!
Anybody on here that wear glasses with astigmatism? Do you wear contacts too?! I’ve always been told by my opticians, it’s probably for the best not too, is it just because they’re too expensive? #edusky #primaryeducation #astigmatism
Oh yes please, we use White Rose Maths ☺️
noswaith dda!!!
Doing what teacher friends do best and meeting up in the half term to show we actually do have a social life outside of school! #teachersontour #edusky #primaryeducation
