We are making Europe a leader in AI.
One year into our plan, we've 19 AI factories running to boost our tech power.
We also launched an AI Skills Academy to boost digital skills. Plus, we are providing €1 billion to help businesses across EU use AI safely ↓

I personally find online April Fools’ jokes pretty annoying as they mostly consist of just sharing false information and only reveal it’s a joke at the very end. That said, it’s a useful reminder to verify everything you read on social media.

I offer an overview of algorithmic bias. I trace its historical roots, examine canonical scholarship and notable real-world incidents, and explore how algorithmic bias emerged as a field of study

Trustworthy information is the foundation of Wikipedia. Verifiability means anyone can check that facts and claims are supported by reliable, published sources. Editors cite sources so readers can confirm facts for themselves.

I put together a guide to the best tools for verifying images, spotting deepfakes, checking claims, and seeing past media bias. Most are free. With AI making fakes cheaper & faster than ever, knowing how to check things yourself has never been more important!

NEW: Wikipedia editors have implemented new policies and restricted a number of contributors who were paid to use AI to translate existing Wikipedia articles into other languages after they discovered these AI translations added AI “hallucinations,” or errors, to the resulting article.
He disfrutado y aprendido a la par. Felicidades a Sergio y Cecilia.

Two people holding puzzle pieces stand on separate floating platforms, symbolizing collaboration to bridge a gap. Text reads: Help close the gap. Your edits can make Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects more representative.
The challenge. Wikipedia aims for neutrality, but many editors come from similar backgrounds. Perspectives from the Global South, women, those without Internet access, and more are underrepresented.
The solution. Community projects work to identify and close knowledge gaps. The Wikimedia Foundation supports grants, translation, and digital access initiatives to advance knowledge equity.
How you can help. Edit articles, upload images, or join a user group that reflects your community. Every contribution helps counter systemic bias.
Neutral knowledge depends on who gets to contribute.
Wikipedia strives for a neutral point of view, but any project falls short when voices are absent. That's why volunteers have been taking action.
