"Low-income households will get [free] plug-in solar panels to cut their energy bills, the Government has announced."
This is how you do a just transition.

"The Wage Standard is a compelling book. It would be sad — and ironic — if it had only one buyer. Maybe check it out?"

I remember the gross public bidding war they intentionally created and the pathetic public begging governors and mayors got up to to hand fistfuls of taxpayer money to Amazon for this.
I am shocked to learn the cabinet of our adjudicated rapist president has been staffed by sex pests up and down the chain of command.

The number of times we load the bases and get 0-1 runs in is what makes this team just so frustrating to watch. It's like I can see the shape of a good team here and yet.
I imagine Jackson Holliday's impending return shortens Mayo's runway the most.
Oof. Yeah, sorry, trigger warning, heh.
Al Horford and I went to college at UF at the same time and I can really feel that seeing his knees creak out there on the court.
God I love Jeremiah Jackson.
Guns currently owned can be stored by officials and returned when debts are paid or a divorce is demonstrably in the rear view and one's life has stabilized on the other side of it. These are known instances in which stress and desperation leads to tragedy when someone has guns. We can prevent this.
Regarding the tragedy of the murder of Dr. Fairfax, this story is full of checkpoints in which access to guns can & should be reasonably restricted. Accumulating unpaid debt? Separation & divorce proceedings initiated? Sorry, your guns should be taken and your ability to purchase new ones suspended.
Genuinely happy to see Coby White taking over a meaningful game on a team that's actually fun to watch.
The claim "the fact that the incumbent party was successfully defeated in an election shows that there was never anything to worry about and democracy was fine all along" in the Hungarian case— with explicit or implicit analogy to the US— is maddening to begin with, bc it's a well-known fact

Beavers coulda walked a run in too. Tried to be a damn hero for no reason.
Damnit Beavers, just hold on one damn pitch out of the zone once.
I missed the game earlier and Jeremiah Jackson did WHAT??
Every once in a while you remember that this is the president of the United States doing this and that this ALONE would have been a career ending scandal that would have covered the party in shame and condemned them to the minority for at least a few cycles.
I'm starting to think Americans are the only ones in the world too stupid not to go the other way when JD Vance is campaigning for something.
I'm so glad baseball is here because the Wizards have been so unwatchably bad, I could not watch the NBA anymore. The thing about tanking incentives is it also means that even when your team plays a good team, they rest their best players so you watch your guys get beat up by bench units.
Better field support and Cade probably would have given up no runs and gone 8 innings.
I'm shocked to learn the "women should not be allowed to vote and should be entirely subject to the whims of their husbands" pastor also has some other alarming takes about the segregation he would like to impose.

O's W. Good Saturday.
I can't believe how good this year's City Connect O's unis are. Just love them so much.
Trump allowing this to go on is impeachable on its own, even without the rest.
No one ever celebrates SpaceX like they have Artemis and I love that. Also, it's a nice reminder that NASA still does the coolest, most difficult stuff in the space game and it's not even close.
Relatedly, people sometimes think unions mitigate accountability by insulating bad actors. However, one thing that arises as an alternative is contracting arrangements with for- and non-profit service providers - a structure in which accountability is almost entirely theoretical.
Having lived in both non-unionized and heavily unionized states, this is absolutely the case. Unions can be one minor cause among many that some inefficiency arises in services provided while a lack of unions will often be among the top reasons services begin to be curtailed entirely.
NEW: Trump accepted $37m worth of donated steel for his WH ballroom project from the Luxembourg-based company ArcelorMittal.
Days later, the WH made adjustments to Trump's tariffs that could benefit ArcelorMittal.
"What do they need nuclear weapons for?" asks guy threatening a nation with nuclear attack.
