You’ve watched the “new” Daleks’ Master Plan eps… now listen! Here’s the first of three new videos about Tristram Cary’s music for the story.

Whilst I failed miserably in my attempt to secure a Pulp ticket this morning, I have at least managed to bag myself a front row seat at The Daleks' Master Plan screening/discussion at HOME Manchester next month, so that's cheering. Three years since my last Who event so say hello if you're going.
In all seriousness, We Love Life played in full with an full orchestra would be my dream gig...
and I'd still probably get stuck in a fucking queue for tickets
I'm desperate to hear Partial Eclipse live and most of the chancers in the queue are probably only arsed about Common People and Disco 2000
I hate buying tickets.
Well that's that plan fucked
I was away from social media for this series and haven't felt compelled to rewatch any of it. Hard to go back to something that once held so much promise, I guess, and I'm not one to just criticize stuff for the sake of it. Plus there's always the next series... whenever that is.
You look nothing like Melvyn Bragg
"Ron & Joan Guest welcome you to The Admiral Blake" - a Ladbroke Grove pub named after a 17th century mariner - circa 1972. The pub also went by the nickname 'The Cow Shed' due to the number of cattle sheds that were once situate nearby.
The pub was located at 355 Ladbroke Grove, Kensington, just south of the train line running to Paddington.
The Admiral Blake as it appeared on screen in Time Gentlemen Please at the turn of the century, before it was officially renamed The Cowshed...
... both in real life and in the Sky One sitcom. It was subsequently demolished in 2012, replaced by living accommodation, a block of flats aptly named Admiral Blake House.
Finally got round to watching the Paul McCartney lost bass documentary - very good! - which contained a fun niche sitcom Easter Egg: the pub through which the Hofner bass passed was The Admiral Blake in Ladbroke Grove - the same pub later owned by Al Murray's Pub Landlord in Time Gentlemen Please!
PS. If you're going to show us clips of Sale Of The Century by Sleeper, at least give us the fucking chorus
"TFI Friday with 1% of the budget" - I mean, they're not wrong. This is sadly the future of television, increasingly underfunded with amateur production values. Would it kill them to use the same frame rate on every camera? The audience cutaways are so distracting.

Fair play to Ant and Dec for trying to keep up the pretence that I'm A Celeb South Africa wasn't recorded seven months ago, but when Ashley Roberts is celebrating her birthday (14th September) on the show you can't really pretend that Dec's birthday (25th September) is supposedly months away...
One for the grandads
"We all cried a lot. We were very sad"
Absolutely howling at the new Fourth Doctor 'Shada' action figure complete with "Tom Baker's just heard it's been cancelled due to industrial action" spare head #DoctorWho
"Hi, I'm Nick Duerden and I write clickbait for a living"
"Replace Claudia Winkleman and drop the contestants: how to fix The Traitors"
Well it's actually 'Chicken Man', my brain hasn't quite kicked in gear yet :)
It's the accompaniment of 'Chicken Run' that really makes it.

"15 stickers of Lionel Blair's entrance" - ahem
Delighted that one of my daft little videos has provided the inspiration for "15 stickers of Lionel Blair's entrance" - thank you Darren Riley @panchoballard.bsky.social for these, I will treasure them! 😄 adarrenrileypainting.com
84% made to look like a little less than 50%. Oh the irony.
Should never have fucking left. Also, the Daily Mail is a shitrag
So pleased to hear we'll be getting a further instalment of the seminal 7 Up documentary series. I feared it had come to an end with the death of director Michael Aptel in 2021. A fascinating, hugely valuable time capsule of society and one of the great works of British television.
Hurrah! How nice to have something local again. Don't fancy my chances of grabbing a ticket if the clamour is anything like Riverside, but I'll give it a go!
The Comic Strip Presents:
Jim Broadbent
Peter Capaldi
Lenny Henry
Guy looks like he's got a hard on
Haha! Amazing. Yeah I'd love that.
Idea for film extravaganza, plot thus: A sex-crazed architect has the dream of designing a building shaped like the pointed sacks on the upper torso of a woman. Played by Trigger off Only Fools And Horses.
Terrible idea, no one will watch that. I've not thought it through, Lynn. I'll call you back.
The official TFI Friday uploads continue with Episode 5 - it originally showed up midweek with all the music performances cut, so glad to see they've managed to resolve the issues. Sadly they can't do anything about Chris Evans's painful flirting with Eva Herzigová.

Jon Pertwee, BBCtv's Dr Who, writes Get Rid Of Him! onto a soapy window. He is in drag as a cleaning lady. Which is fine, whatever he likes to do in his own time is his own business.
