I don't imagine this made it to the states but Kevin the Carrot has been a staple of supermarket chain ALDI's Christmas adverts for the last ten years. It's a fitting name.

As weird a suggestion as it is you could go with Tumblr for a free option. Its easy to upload different media and has inbuilt tagging you can use for categorisation.
Also you can use whatever html and CSS you like to alter your blog.

I was looking for something new to get as an audiobook today. I was staggered by the amount of fantasy that was based mostly on box-sorting and how the protagonist doesn't fit neatly into one.
