But it's also true that comparator nations achieved more comprehensive coverage.
That was the day before
So Rubio, how does Iran have a higher literacy rate than your country?
I feel like it effects me a lot. For a start, income from the UK is worth 10-20% less because of the weaker pound. And then people you meet assume you're racist or stupid because you're British.
I didn't vote Remain. Well I did but it wasn't counted. My postal vote arrived 48 hours before the national day of shame. No way would my ballot have got back in time.
To be fair Β£91k is a minor sum for someone with his wealth while Β£40k is quite a lot for her.
Photo showing basin and electrical socket in close proximity in Spanish bathroom
Speaking with Spanish person about building regulations...
Me: 'How can this possibly be allowed? Someone could stick one finger in the power and the other in the water'
Spanish person: 'Yes but no-one would ever do that'
Me: 'We would. We're the nation that voted to leave the EU' π
BBC News screenshot showing 'I support Palestine Action' given as the reason for hundreds of arrests.
Aren't the BBC breaking the law by saying this? No because it's not the words themselves that's the problem, they're only quoting it, so it's OK. Then demonstrators can legally display placards saying "The BBC says 'I support Palestine Action'"? This is all very silly.
I know normally sensible people who feel sorry for her π€’. Like she was forced to marry him. Oh wait a minute. Maybe she was.
Not that we should judge by appearance. But the state of them in that photo.
This is not surprising. Jesus has been a colossal force for bad in the world.
But the fact remains that a third of Brits are happy to be thousands worse off because of jam jars. Or don't realise they are thousands worse off because of jam jars. Or have forgotten Farage was anything to do with it. ('thousands' per UK govt own figures)
Well you say that, but the person who made everyone thousands worse off is the most likely next leader. Would people feel the same if supermarkets charged a few hundred pounds to scribble a different name on the jars?
Fascinating you say? π€
Viewed from outside the UK it's totally astonishing that anyone might prefer to be thousands a year worse off than to see a particular word on a jam jar.
"We shouldn't have jumped head first off the balcony. But feet first would have been great" ππ€¬
"It was a great idea but sadly Johnson didn't do it well" ππ€¬π€¬
Those of us who got out while we could look forward to welcoming you. But unfortunately not for many years. Leavers naively didn't realise how difficult rejoining will be if it should be necessary. Which it now is.
Oooh I want to be the first pedant to suggest that nothing can be more unique than something else π
Isn't this meme misleading? Representative Jamie Raskin who has had access to the files says Trump is mentioned more than a million times.
I feel proud that he's my leader. Although he's not widely appreciated here in Spain.
π€ But they're OK with Northern Ireland?
When we talk about other regimes we say 'the Ayatollah' or 'Saddam Hussein' or 'Gadaffi' were responsible for deaths. When it's the USA it's ICE rather than 'Trump'. You quite rightly don't fall into that trap.
And no Germany, France or Italy? Because nothing of significance ever occurred there.
FT headline reporting that Mandelson says he isn't 'a wokey-cokey sort of person'
It's not hindsight. A year ago I posted this headline and suggested this comment made Mandelson an unsuitable choice for Labour. How is it possible that someone not even living in the UK could see this and Starmer couldn't? Does Starmer think it's funny to laugh at the idea of 'woke'?
If this is not a spoof then shame on you. Sets back any attempt to look like a serious party by several years.
I think we can all agree that anything that's been happening for 900 years should continue. πππ
