Captains Log, Stardate 42 BBY. The Stargate has taken us to a desert planet called Arrakis, where the local tribesmen calling thmselves "Darleks" have prepared us a meal to celebrate what they call "life day" and show us holographic images of dancing beings.

The Quickening, is path to many abilities some consider to be "unnatural", Master Baggins... #LOTR #StarWars #Highlander
Two simple adjustments from the marketing team would have let you have your cake and eat it.
1. Called the game something without the 2 in it. Bloodlines Revival or something. Tempered expectation there.
2. Made your Day One DLC Q1 DLC. At least pretend it's not already in the game and paywalled.
Mood piece? Kinda like a walking sim? That IS fun to some people?
Find the fun! 🤗
Had a dream last night. Me and some JRPG charcters were lost in the woods, evading Gorilla and Gazelle attacks.
Its only unproductive if you didnt record those 3 minutes 😜
Im basically getting 2 hours a day in on average. Playing games has taken an unfortunate backseat in favour of making games.
I think im gonna spend next weekend transitioning 🤣
Looks like a psx point-and-click title❤️. What is it actually, 1st person or 3rd?
My first ever video game as a dev. Only about 5-10 mins long, but was a good start to my learning journey.
Do you think you can do most inter-blueprint logic with BPIs? Or is there somethings that cast is always better?
I struggle with most documentation tbh im a learning-by-doing kinda guy.
So Instead of CastToEnemy you have a BPI on both your character and enemy? (For whatever action etc).
Alot of hate for AI these days, but ChatGPT taught me more about Unreal Engine 5 blueprints than any youtube tutorial or online course. In two months (100 hours maybe) i can now correct ITS mistakes. Still a long way to go though... #UE5 #UnrealEngine
So the Switch 2 in the UK is STILL technically more expensive here than in the USA. Given the Tariff Wars raging stateside, probably a strong indicator just how Broken Britain is. Sorry for the politics. I avoid it till it hits gaming. Video game music posts resume now...
If any #indiedevs are in an alpha/playable state and want FREE music, give me a shout? Any shares would be appreciated
The #SIlentHIll vibes are strong with this one! I love writing abstract ambient stuff like this! #gamdev #indiedev #gamemusic #composer #forhire
For this track I tried to hone in on classic #JRPGs, imaging a long rest in a forest. #gamedev #indiedev #composer #freemusic
Here's music i wrote while channeling cozy #FarmingSim vibes! #cosygames #gamedev ##indiedev #composer #freemusic
Here's a piece I wrote thinking of those uber patriotic 90s action films like Armageddon and Independence Day. Slightly somber but a dust of cheese if i do say so myself. #gamedev #indiedev #composer #freemusic
Here's a bit of music I wrote, thinking about a sad, abandoned Automaton in someone's attic. Sad #steampunk vibes. #gamdev #indiedev
Here's a song I wrote where I was trying to really recapture the magic of PSone/PS2 platforming games like Crash Bandicoot. #gamedev #indiedev
Yeah that's no problem with me, slow is fine, I can fit other peoples projects between your downtime, but keep your game as the focus. If you have a example of a song or genre you already had in mind I can whip up a demo and upload to my YT if you want?
(2/2) Since your early doors, I'm happy to do songs as-and-when you complete sections/levels of the game longterm. My discord is inspectorspacetime599 if you want to discuss further there. Or feel free to send me a chat here. My email is also on all the youtube videos as well :)
Omg well in that case my portfolio/samples are on www.youtube.com/@ryanmcleodc... here. I work across all genres, and I'd be following what your specification/taste would be! If your open to suggestions, there's soo many directions we could take it - we'd try them all to see what you think fits!
My heart is broken. I was going to reach out and ask if I could work on the music for this as this vibes soo much with me. I love point and click, and horror-adjacent games like "Darkseed" and "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream". Then I seen in your main menu you already have a composer. Jealous!
Any #composers out there got any advice on breaking into video game soundtracks?
