fr tho the whiplash from being homeless and in an abusive relationship last year to doing relatively very well emotionally is kinda fucking wild

within the last month i:
-recorded gang vocals on a friend's EP
-booked my first show
-raised $452 for charity
-learned how to play mtg
-went to a bar with my crush
-got a bass & gear
-joined a band
-started replaying one of my fave games
-told my best friend i'm proud of her

even if you're only kinda into hardcore, or any music tbh, i think everyone in or near a city should check out local venues and scenes. become a regular at a cafe or a bar that u like. put yourself forward as much as possible and talk to as many people as possible.

i ran doors at my local hardcore venue tonight and it was some of the most fun ive had at a show tbh, i knew almost everyone at the show and they would walk up and chat or bring me drinks or bring me food, shit was kinda awesome. some days i love living in puppydog city
