It's genuinely the worst because it makes finding the good stuff basically digging through the reposts/reblogs/etc of the few good artists who do tag stuff to find the other artists they're friends with who tag nothing

this is true but watching how people react to unwanted or unexpected outcomes of the tomolife relationship machine i think a lot of them are definitely playing dolls

i also think this applies to dnd where people aren't truly there to follow the dice and want to have specific stuff happen

honestly from everything i've seen of the warhammer fandom not playing the game and just bonking minis together yeah u right

what I do think is interesting is that when you're not a kid anymore you're Not Supposed To get excited by taking your two favorite toys and bonking them together and saying they kissed and giggling about it, but you can still elicit that same emotional reaction from an adult by adding an elaborate Rube Goldberg machine between picking the favorite dolls and then bonking them together so the person doing it gets tricked into thinking they're not playing with dolls

this isn't derogatory it's just an observation that digitizing playing dolls and selling it to depressed 30 year olds works really well
