The most emotional adventure in my campaign so far had an antagonist desperate to save humanity from a greater evil. Both the PCs and players were emotionally exhausted.

I oddly feel like making a tier list for #Pathfinder2e ancestries. Not a tier list for min-maxing but one for praising how awesome they are in design, lore, and story-telling potential.

Resistance against AI is not resistance against technological progress. That's a common overgeneralization of criticism against AI. Resistance against AI is defining the terms of how it impacts and integrates with our lives.

There's a grave misunderstanding and/or overgeneralization of criticism against AI here. A person studying, comprehending, and expressing information is not the same as a machine downloading a data file, processing it, and then spitting it out. Parallelism is not equivalency.

How is gun versus stick equivalent to creating a political meme versus getting a machine to do it for you? Especially when using the machine profits your enemy and contributes to their victory?

I wrote my CS master’s thesis on machine learning. A human being taking inspiration from another artist is not the same as a machine illegally downloading it, cutting it up into pieces, and storing it for later use.

Neat idea! Do you use a specific app or tool for these concept sketch templates?

It's also the case with building characters. I had players ask me for advice about their character. When I warn them about a bad choice, they completely ignore my feedback (which is fine). Then they spent months complaining about it and blaming everyone but themselves (which is NOT fine).

- "Open-ended" encounters that are little more than a tiny list of skill checks you're allowed to roll
- PF chase encounters
- Using dice as miniatures
- PvP / PCs betraying one another
- Players constantly whining about the consequences of their own actions despite everyone warning them

Some of the darkest, most chilling moments in a campaign happened when silly characters did "comedic" things at the expense of my dead-serious fighter. One tried to stun her with a magic item as a prank while the party explored a haunted mansion She threatened to disembowel him if he did that again

Who cares. It has a banger of a sound track.

The mind wants to do something constructive and creative. The heart doesn't feel it with all the doom and gloom in the world.

This is why I get confused when someone says “too many classes”. Even a GM needs only needs to know about 4-6, and they can just ask a player how their character works…which they should be doing anyway.

And yet we can always use more!

I tried playing a dedicated shapeshifting untamed druid twice, and it did not go well. One of my friends tried playing one, and it went so poorly that he stopped playing PF2 entirely.

The problem is that unlike other rages, animal instinct doesn't let you use weapons and doesn't let you use the base non-instinct-enhanced rage . And she wouldn't be able to switch back and forth between "beast mode" and "throwing spears at you" mode.

Can't go wrong with space amazon cats.

Essentially a character like Nidalee from LoL. A huntress wher she alternates between thrown weapon attacks and shapeshifting into an animal or beast, but none of the options really go for the playstyle and flavor I'm aiming for.
