Romello Height played on the same defensive front as Lee Hunter and David Bailey, yet teams are sending help his way regularly.
Opponents will tell you what they think of a player by how they gameplan.

I think the Packers already told us who they're going to draft.
Their visits tell the story.

Every year the draft is just kinda meh I hear people say “But a team has to want to come up.”
Someone always wants to come up. You only have the draft you have. So teams will find guys to love because they have to take someone.
There just ... really aren't that many compelling options likely to be there at 52 for the Packers. At least, not based on what they're normally hoping to find.
If all the non-flagged guys above Chris Bell are gone ... who is the pick if they stick?
I struggle with Elijah Surratt to the Packers because he fits what they tend to like at WR athletically, has the production, blocks, and can be a ball-winner, back shoulder guy they don’t have … BUT
He’s also not the premium athlete they usually target where he’s projected.
It's both true that Dani Dennis-Sutton doesn't consistently play to his time athleticism (or with the force you want as a pass rusher), but teams clearly respected him.
Indiana and Ohio State sent multiple bodies at him a ton.
We talk about big/strong/fast being the Packers type at EDGE, but LVN and Rashan Gary each also had awesome 3-cone times for their size.
LVN 7.02 at 272
Gary 7.26 at 277
Dani Dennis-Sutton had a 6.9 at 6055, 256 while broad jumping 10'11.
That is INSANE.
Malachi Lawrence and Gabe Jacas are right next to each other on the consensus board, and I'll be honest, I do not understand why.
Lawrence is a much better prospect to me.
One of Malachi Lawrence's top athletic comparables is Josh Sweat, who had his best season ever under Jonathan Gannon in 2022.
Then had his best season ever (one-upped it) after signing with Gannon in AZ last year.
If he's there at 52, I think he's a Packer.
A "Did the Packers meet with them and do they fit Packers Types?" mock based on the consensus board
52. Chris Brazzell II
84. Mike Washington Jr.
120. Will Lee III (he'd have to fall)
153. Kaleb Proctor
160. Charles Demming
201. Kaelon Black
236. Jordan van den Berg
255. Michael Heldman
I can't prove it, but it feels like OpenAI has changed the Chat model to ask more clarification questions to encourage people to pay for the full version.
Used to run simple tasks quickly (if sometimes poorly), but lately any task requires 49 follow-ups to hit chat limit.
Another option here would be to trade and package both 5ths to get back into the 4th for someone.
By the Rich Hill trade chart, 153+160=125
If they love someone at 52, they could still add someone in this range.
There will probably not be a CB worth taking (by the consensus board) at 52 overall, but this part of the draft is absolutely loaded with potential Packers types.
Moving back 8-12 spots in R2 and adding a fourth, if the Packers can do that, makes a TON of sense.
If they signed him in free agency, sure. Giving up the 10th pick to pay him is wild.
Joe Burrow has missed 16 games over the last 3 seasons, the Bengals are 19-16 when Burrow DOES play over that time, but sure, they're a 29-year-old NT (even an awesome one) away from contending.

Bengals should trade TJ Slaton for a conditional Day 3 pick now imo
The list of players I’d trade 10 overall even in a mediocre draft is short.
And Dexter Lawrence ain’t on it. Not even close.
The Bengals are basically giving up the equivalent of two late first-round picks for Dexter Lawrence if you believe in the degradation of a future first as a current second
2026 20+55 =10 almost perfectly.
That’s insane for a NT.
The Packers were at Jordyn Tyson's personal pro day a week before the draft.
Tyson is expected to go in the first 20 or so picks.
Our Friday News Dump is early today! We're talking must-haves in the draft, trading down, and competing with the Dolphins for Packers types. Top the hour, let's get it!

Today for @theleap.bsky.social I wrote about why it makes sense, particularly in this draft class, for the #Packers to use premium draft capital to replace Donyavion Wicks.

Are the #Packers pre-draft visits telling us how they think their draft is going to play out?

There are some worrying stats from Matthew Golden's rookie season, but the tape says don't worry.
Golden can still be the player the #Packers need him to be.

Had one of those wildly productive days that makes me wonder what the fuck I do during a normal day that makes me feel like I’m so bush and rushing to get things done.
Texas A&M CB Will Lee had a 30 visit with the Packers. He's not the fastest CB, but he's twitchy and plays a lot like current Green Bay CB Carrington Valentine.
We break him down on another episode of Gutey's Guys.

This is my favorite Disney movie
He’s WR2.5 (for now) but at least they can actually let him play WR instead of trying to get him schemed up touches just to get him involved.
