I'm excited to announce that my second-ever webdev project, 420clock.net, is now live!
What is #420clock? Simple: it's a website that helps you celebrate #420 in your local timezone!
For the #forgetful #stoner.
Check it out at 4:15 and leave it open for 4:20. You won't be disappointed.
I am JEALOUS that you got to witness this ๐ญ girlipop lived my dream and didn't even know it at the time
What engine are you guys using? I'm a passable C#/Unity Dev. Currently working on a couple of different projects and getting frustrated with the lack of immersive 3D games being developed. Would love to work with you guys on this cause it sounds kick-ass!
Lmfao of fucking course it's a clanker. Reporting it for being a bot account now.
Oh, it's not me you're debating. It's established historical fact. Also, the whole "Wikipedia is unreliable" thing has been debunked to hell and back. Any vandalism is reverted within hours of discovery.
Being an anti-intellectual is not the charming personality trait you seem to think it is.
This is false. The internet traces its origins to the government's Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA, later amended to DARPA) in the 1960s. The modern web (http era) started in the 1990s with Tim Berners-Lee and his WorldWideWeb browser.

This looks pretty sweet. That UI theming is slick, very 2010-2011 feeling, and the ratman makes me wanna hug him lol
Wow this looks cool. We need more #3D #gamedevs out here making cool shit ๐ rock on, little rat ๐
Dude really blocked me over this reply ๐
Cishet man making life easy for himself challenge (difficulty level: IMPOSSIBRUH)
Unpopular opinion: complexity is good. Dynamic systems are good. Emergent behaviors are good. Forced simplicity is not fun, and the worst thing a game can do is introduce complex mechanics only to oversimplify them later on down the line.
Our peers all swallowed the same lies in school: "Violence is never the answer. Violence is unacceptable. Violence against authority is the worst sin. The law is absolute." and now we're watching as this country all but declares open season on everyone deemed non-conforming.

Took me a while to find it, but I finally added all the retroslop tags to my muted tags list. Probably gonna have to expand it more as I run into more outliers, but hooray for filtering out retroslop!!!
>ask for game guide
>get pointed to official resource containing game guide
>reject provided resource out of hand
>lament about lack of game guide
I refuse to believe that I share a genome with you.
I would prefer an end to all copyright
Got the blinds physics prebakes done for all three sets of blinds, programmed actors for all of them, along with a home controller for setting up the state of the home for different scenes or based on save game or w/e. I made the blinds to use the same textures as the house siding :)

Baking physics is a little lame (real-time or nothing baybayyyyy) but honestly this is probably the coolest, most immersion-focused feature I've seen a solo dev add to a game on bsky so far. Props to you for actually making an engaging 3D game instead of retroslop.
"Fast paced roguelike"
Ew. At least it's 3D ๐
If you want a game where you can build Starships, I'm working on a game called Neogalactal. It's a multi-crew starship simulator inspired by Bridge Commander, Elite Force 2, STO, and PULSAR Lost Colony. The ships are fully modular. Here's footage of our first ship module randomizer test.
Note to self: need to separate turbulence code into its own TurbulenceVolume class.
Lowkey might start a "simple tutorials" channel to fill this niche. No fluff, straight to the point. It's not like I can monetize any of my shit anyway ๐
Show of hands: how many of you are REAL PEOPLE? โ
All this to say, I understand where you're coming from. I feel the pain in your post. I'm tired of getting shadowbanned, regular banned, and generally suppressed. I'm creating the next Bridge Commander and NOBODY is looking at it. It pisses me off. You're not alone in dealing with this bullshit.
-Gamedev? Everyone worships 2D pixel art roguelike deckbuilders and hates immersive feature-packed 3D sandboxes.
-Music? Everyone loves grungy rough pre-2000s cheese and hates modern aggression.
-Art? Everyone worships the stupidest, simplest shit, while genuine masterpieces get overlooked.
No matter where I go on the internet, I always end up feeling like I don't belong.
-Gaming? Everyone wants restrictions and limitations placed upon them, and hate when you give everyone control over their own experience in multiplayer.
I'm also apparently considered a "hacker" because I hate playing games "as intended" and always find ways to access, preserve, and expand upon everything from dev tools to "cases of unintended game design" or emergent behaviors that the devs dislike.
I'm a digital content creator. I make music, mods, and games. I got into content creation to mimic, improve, and remake my favorites from my childhood. I grew up with Star Trek, Doctor Who, the MCU, and other media where the focus is on big, advanced, hulking machinery going PBBBT, BRBRB, and BOOOOM
