On the cover of Cell Metabolism!
"In this issue, Van der Stede et al. uncover a pivotal role for mononuclear cells in skeletal muscle in relation to exercise training adaptations."
Thanks @thibauxvanderstede.bsky.social and colleagues for the science and @drawimpacts.bsky.social for the artwork!
A deep dive into the heterogeneity of human muscle fibers using transcriptomics and proteomics, now online @naturecomms.bsky.social. This was an amazing collaboration between our team @wimderave.bsky.social and the team @adeshmukh.bsky.social

Proud about this one! Together with EA Richter ending up twice in the same issue of @cp-cellmetabolism.bsky.social ! #luck or my lab is great ;-). Thanks @wimderave.bsky.social and Zelzer labs for the nice collaborations!

Very proud on this work led by @thibauxvanderstede.bsky.social and featuring the minds and expertise of many outstanding scientists! In science, we need to join forces to advance 💪
You and your lab are great! Thanks for the great journey with this paper.

Generally not a big fan of systematic reviews and meta-analyses/regressions, but this one is really useful.
Dozens of muscle biopsy studies testing effects of (endurance, HIT, SIT) exercise training on muscle fiber type composition & show no net change.

I like blue-sky (= curiosity-driven) research, so let's try this platform, meanwhile escaping from the ever more cloudy ✖️
Where are all the muscle biologists here?
