I'm not a fan of banning words, but Ford is 100% a slur.

That -is- the moderate suggestion.
On a completely unrelated note, a 1000' tall guillotine takes like 13 seconds to fully descend. (Hush up, math nerds)
Double unrelated: the average human can detect an 18" wide object from over 1000 feet away on a clear day.
I can think of a very effective way that he could boost public perception. Even moreso if his shitass kids and cabinet members followed suit.
If you'd like to know more about electoral politics in my state and why it is the way it is, please read my pinned post.
We literally can't vote our way out of this.
Tell me how I'm supposed to take up a goddamned thing in Ohio, a state so gerrymandered that our politicians can overturn wildly popular ballot initiatives with no electoral consequences. It's a 60-40 state that should be 50-50 and our electeds are 90-10.
Yoink!
Why are you putting the onus on voters to choose between two people that are varying degrees of bad instead of putting it on the party to provide a choice that is good?
And before you say something dumb, casting a pragmatic ballot in '24 was the least of my involvement in Dem politics that year.
Less voting from blue folks in red states.
I am adulting like I give a fuck about American dollars being spent on Israeli weapons that are used to murder so many Palestinians that it inarguably qualifies as a genocide. Maybe the Dem party should start adulting like they give a fuck about giving a majority of voters what they want.
Which federal agency is Tim Cook taking over and how many trillions of tax dollars will Apple be awarded as a result?
Cop ass mentality. Entitled to deal out unimaginable violence toward any one at any time, but the second somebody punches back the aggressor is immediately the victim.
Fuck this shit, fuck this attitude, and fuck the people in our government who act like this.
Alternate headline: 4 in 5 US Adults suffer from depression, 75% go untreated due to social stigma and financial constraints.
Nope sorry can't do it. Y'all little anarchokiddies are gonna have to buck up and vote for the people who are gonna kill you slowly and pretend to feel bad about it because if you don't the other folks will kill you fast.
And have you even stopped to think about what the donors want?!?!?
I'm with you but like... Give me somebody to vote FOR. I haven't missed a -single- chance to vote since I was old enough to do so. I did the pragmatic thing up thru '24. I'm fuckin done. If they offer up a solid log of corny shit to prevent a gym sock full of diarrhea, I'm staying home. Fuckem.
For somebody who likes to use $5 literary words like 'dudgeon,' you're almost as bad at reading the room as you are at reading comprehension.
Early on you dodged a question about the values of punishing like minded folks because of where they live, and that's all I need to know.
Ngl, you lost me at antifascist pragmatic democrat my dude.
A choice to do something that is at best ineffective and at worst actively harmful simply because it makes you feel like you've done something, and that's fine. Just don't act like you're superior to the folks actually doing the work in the places you've written off.
We don't have a differing opinion, we have a differing understanding of what does and does not work in the places I work and you fly over. One of us knows what they're talking about and the other is giggling in an office, using outdated literary terms to feel superior to a stranger on the internet.
You, specifically and individually, are the reason everyone hates liberals.
Jesus Christ you're annoying. There is local support available to the workers impacted by those boycotts, because that's what real organizing is. Enjoy your privileged life, Madame Entrepreneur. We're done.
You mean targeted boycotts against specific companies for specific reasons? Full support. Because they were targeted. Refusing to support a queer owned bookstore because you don't like the government of the state it exists in though? That's not targeted and it's not helping anyone but you.
You've chosen to write off an entire state and everyone in it, not just the people and businesses that support your ideological opponents. If your values include imposing economic harm on people who share your political leanings because of where they live, your values suck.
3/ into the whole city lib stereotype and actively making it harder for those of us who choose to stay and fight or can't get out. By all means you do you, but don't act like you're making some bold statement that's gonna save the country by writing off entire populations.
/End
2/ over the last 25 years. The result is that our 60/40 state has 90/10 representation (and that 60/40 would be far closer to 50/50). It might feel good to say 'fuck that entire population,' but when you do that you're actually contributing to the far right's ability to organize. You're playing...
1/ I'm a red state leftist and I'm sure your virtue signalling plays well online and makes you feel good about yourself, but it's actually harming our ability to organize and push back against this bullshit. The Dem party walked away from about half of Ohio's citizens and most of its counties...
The dumbest war of your lifetime so far.
Didn't read the article, but the headline isn't wrong. There's a ton of marketing and social pressure at play in rural America, and the Dems only focus on local races where they're sure to win. It's a party politics problem more than a people problem.
My 4yo and I have the same sense of humor and fascination with dinosaurs, can I join in?
Realistically you've got two options and either will solve your problem. You can either set boundaries intentionally or you can burn out and your work will suffer to the point that people stop asking you for help. Either way, more of your time will be yours.
The second one is not fun.
Who the fuck is Ozzy?
