A screenshot of a payment plan details page on a website.
The page shows a comparison of a flexible plan and an annual plan. The flexible plan allows you to pay monthly for the number of user accounts you have in that month. The annual plan offers a fixed price per license and requires a minimum one-year contract. There is a blue primary button at the bottom of the screenshot that reads "Review Pricing Details" and a line of text that reads "Stay on Current Plan", that subtly behaves like a button.

Google Workspace makes it tricky to upgrade the current plan. They have a big blue button for "Review Pricing Details," but hide the "Stay on Current Plan" option in plain text. The assumption here is that this text, which functions as a button, will be missed by users. #deceptivepatterns #badux

Users refreshing my LinkedIn for the 10th time because of that red dot.
The focus may be to increase pageviews/repeated visits from users logging in to dismiss the notification icon. Assuming that's good for the product, but bad for accessibility.
